I hate gmail
There are no folders, so I can't put all my emails from the work list into one. This means either I let them flood my inbox or I delete them.
Fucking gmail. I don't want labels I want folders.
Why does everyone love Gmail so much? I have it but I kind of like my yahoo better. Except that I get so much spam at the yahoo one.
If you press archive after labelling an e-mail it will go into a sort of folder and out of your inbox.
can't you set up filters so it auto-archives stuff as well?
lists are so last century.
probably, but I can't seem to find the archive folder anywhere. Whcih means that I'd have to know what I was looking for if I wanted to automatically find stuff that was in it, which I don't think would work too well for browsing.
I much prefer yahoomail.
I'd get them to switch it but it's taken me a year to get onto the bloody list.
gmail is amazing - you suck
set work emails to automatically go in the work tag.
they still clog up my inbox, I get about 20 a day
Gmail sorts list mail with filters? That's interesting. Several years back (when i was employed) I paid about fifty bucks for an email client, mostly for that feature. Eudora. I didn't find it real easy to learn, but since i figured it out, I've been pleased.
I haven't figured out how to use the gmail folders, but at least it threads messages, which is a major improvement over yahoo.

use your work email address? or just mark all as read?

Set a filter with 'Skip Inbox' and 'Apply label: work'.
Archive mail is viewable under 'All Mail' on the left, or clicking on the label if you use a filter as above.
thanks winjer.
I never bothered to get a work email addres because by the time I got anyone to use it the year would be over.

I agree. How hard would fucking folders be?
