LibCom IRC Chat - anyone keen?
So, my sleep has been somewhat lacking of late, and when bored I tend to go on IRC. Anyone keen to have a LibCom room? Could have it on the Indymedia IRC server, nice and easy.
I'm gonna be on #libcom on Indy IRC for the next few hours if anyone wants to join me. If people are keen could make it a permanent thing.
If you're keen, you can get online via an IRC client (I reccomend XChat) or at http://chat.indymedia.org - just put #libcom in the "Extra Channels" box.
Unable to connect : java.net.NoRouteToHostException : No route to host: connect
Cock.
1:34am here
I just logged on using the Java chat fine, madashell, maybe try again?
For anyone using an IRC client, port 994 or 995 work for SSL if you want to do it that way, otherwise 6667 (standard IRC port)
Connection to irc://irc.indymedia.org/ (irc://irc.indymedia.org/) refused.
Thats really odd. I'm on there right now. Try irc://irc.indymedia.org:6667
edit: what client are you using?
chatzilla
that didn't work either.
You can also try che.indymedia.org, might have better luck with that
doesn't like me either.
catch gives up and stays on freenode
bugger. no idea what the issue is...
works from here on firefox. If anyone wants to log on i'm Coyote^
IRC sounds complicated.
it's not at all. even thugs can do it.
It's really simple. There's 3 of us in the room now, David, hardtokill and myself.
just get mIRC.
download it, install it, open it, and type this:
/server irc.indymedia.org
it'll log you in, type /join #libcom
* Now talking on #libcom
* Jack (~jackcock@cpc6-brig9-0-0-cust92.brig.cable.ltn.com) has joined #libcom
<Jack> suckers
* Jack has quit ()
Classy
edit: Been a few people in and out during today, some good chats. I'll be on for a few hours yet
Come keep me company on IRC for the next little while - oh joy!

If connecting with an IRC client, connect to irc.indymedia.org - port 6667 (or 995 for SSL).
I'm there. Alone.
Bump!
There's a handful of people that seem to be using the room on a vaguely regular basis, so come join
At the moment it's just me...
Yeah.... so I can only connect to IRC if I use the land-line internet at the university. If I use the wireless all of the ports are blocked.
The land-line is on the opposite side of the room of the outlets, and my cat-5 is only about 5 feet long. So... anybody have it in their heart to install an IRC applet on their website (or better yet... on LibCom)?
Does http://chat.indymedia.org not work for you?
I'm there. Alone.
Until ths post I thought you were cooler than asher.
cooler than asher.
Not possible, sorry.
And another bump - 2 people chatting in there at the moment
admins - any chance of getting this stickied?

What does it involve?
IRChelp.org Internet Relay Chat (IRC) help archive

It's really very easy
Am I using it wrong or is there nobody in there? When do I get to see all your webcams?
a/s/l?
We're in there now, lezzing up.
Seems like it's mostly just Jack whining that years ago someone said that they were going to "sort him out" or "talk to him" which I think is limey speak for getting beat up.
Any hot chicks in here?

sleep? it's 2 in the afternoon you crazy man.
