I will sort something if nothing official is sorted.
Libcom meetup at the bookfair
Weeler aka miserable ol'....
Who says there will be a thread even let alone a row??
Why does the place have to be okcupid OR carnage?
Yes, the change in attitude towards drinks is weird from the admin but they can either organise something for us all if they want or if not I will pm those who have already shown an interest in a meetup via pming me (quite a few already) or posting on here as Django just did.
Sure, i miss the old, more harmonious days but most people still like the idea of a meetup which is natural given a lot of us spend a fair amount of time on the site and we are social animals.

I wasn't there last year doofus. Is Weeler's appropriation of your photography role eroding your confidence I wonder......

He was joking, just making it clear he doesn't have a clue
A fair few of us London based libcommies are meeting up next week, we will prolly thrash out a venue then.
And i think all Jef means is that the Bookfair is not that exciting, like, maybe not worthy of your unbounded enthusiasm, tho i personally feel these things are what you make them.

Will there be two Libcom bookfair meet-ups like last year - one for the admin elite and the other for people the admins don't like.
I don't think there was any "Libcom" meet ups last year, there were people from libcom meeting up with each other but that's rather different.

Not quite, revol. What happened last year is different to what is happening now.
For the benefit of Django. There was a Libcom drinks advertised on the site for after the Bookfair that admin types and non-admin types were intending to go to.(Admin and non-admin types had discussed this on line) Earlier, in the pub a couple of admin types and their close friends were assaulted by a bit of a nutter, so not many people turned up to the official drinks in case the nutters followed, having seen the address on the website. So only a couple of people turned up, including one of the admin who was willing to risk this...but the pub was still packed in the event as i am in AFED and all the Afed types turned up.
This year it is different. It is true the admin don't seem interested in meeting the masses any more, however there will be a lot of masses who still want to meet so as i said, several of us proles who live nearish to the venue will decide on a pub and, as a precaution after last year, i will post with a list of people who know where the venue is so anyone interested can pm one of us. I will also pm those on the interested list which is quite a few.
However, Bookfair day is traditionally chaotic with loads going on, so it is anyone's guess who might turn up. Some people try to make it and dont.
((((Refused))))
Django if you wanna meet the admin as they are the ones who wrote "Tea Break" the best thing is to pm them and see if they wanna meet/discuss it on line. Afaik there is no lc stall again this year so this is your best bet. Anyhoo i should see you on the Afed stall but i will prolly pm ya soon.

No need really. There are much better things to be doing that night.

Should I be given a friendly warning about it at this point?

I'll be there. Are there any plans for a libcom (pub) presence?
Admin - yes there will be libcom drinks at the book fair. From 6 p.m. At the Palm Tree Pub near the venue. Pub details here:
