Shit, that's Morrissey writing so me = Morrissey, Tim = NME hack.
Morrissey and racism
Good point Cantdo. I think he used the whole far right imagery thing in order to be quirky and then it backfired on him and he's been trying to bail himself out ever since. Jack thinks he's shit but then he likes Against Me, so doubt must be placed on his hearing abilities.
I SAID DOUBT MUST BE PLACED ON YOUR HEARING ABILITIES JACK.
Top post.
Lol In fairness Against me does mean you automatically lose though

I mean what come back is there to how bad that is? Its just painful to link to.
Yeah, that joke belongs with the reject jokes of yesteryear. it only wishes it could stand up to the sheer quality of someone trying to lean on a bar only the bar's no longer there and the person in question falling over. he was trying to impress some ladies too, what a fool he looked!!!

The thing that makes it funny is that as far as he knew, the bar was still there, and he was fully expecting it to hold his weight. The fact that it had moved was totally unknown to him, leaving him greatly suprised, as the look on his face in the immediate aftermath paid testament to.
What is the point of asking yourself if somebody who thinks that England has been flooded by immigrants and who lives abroad because he believes England has lost its true English identity is racist or not?
Morrissey's music is in tune with his personality : aristocratic and nationalist.
About the poser :

Now i think its outrageous that a festival that started 30 years ago because of racist comments made by Eric Clapton supporting Enoch Powell is proudly accepting money from Morrissey, who has a history of racist comments to boast about.
For as much as i saw anyway, the love music hate racism was pretty shit. A treason of a tribute.
30 years ago it was about radical popular music, about self-organization, about reggae and punk coming together, about rejecting the establishment, etc...
Quickly enough however, it was taken over by the Anti-Nazi League and the SWP, turning what used to be a broad and radical anti-racist initiative into a narrow anti-BNP agenda, developped along party politics lines.
On Sunday, it was about crap commercial music, the SWP putting forward their ideas and generally about being a political rally (pick your favorite, ken, the left list, the green party...), intending to get the youths to vote.
And everything was paid for by the unions...and Morrissey.
A waste of money?
No, at least Morrissey bought himself respectability...

An aristocratic personality? I'd say he more repesents the elitist reactionary student types you get from smalltown northern England. Y'know, the Hollyoaks types.
So I would know, right?

Yeah pretty amazing to wave the union jack to a crowd of skinheads at a madness gig in Finsbury Park.
The man is blowing my mind.

Anyway, if you like Morrissey's music you might want to switch to that topic :

Theres similarities... but sorry guys but Morrissey is over.
Tecktonik is the future.

NO it isn't true. *puts fingers in ears* none of its true! Morrissey is a beautiful wonderful man!!

So he's given some dough to Rock Against Racism AND UAF (jesus...) and now he's suing the NME for taking some quotes "out of context".
From a Morrissey zine:
That's typical utter bullshit about London that you'd expect from a Northerner.
The reason you don't hear anyone speaking English on Knightsbridge is cos it's full of bourgeois tourists and business visitors going in casinos and buying escorts. Noone fucking lives there, least of all (economic) immigrants. I mean, he could have said Peckham or something...
