Na I have to say I think Lithgow is turning out to be a great baddy, while most of the other characters are shitter than they've ever been.
And Dexter's 'getting sloppy' is becoming really nauseating.

John Lithgow is the least believable serial killer ever.

see that's exactly why it works though
at first you're like 'wtf?'
but then in that first murder scene it's just proper fucked up and you're like 'HOLY SHIT HE WAS IN BIGFOOT AND THE HENDERSONS'

Trinity, surely. He took the dictaphone after all. Deb will survive no doubt, Lundy won't.

I've read elsewhere some people suggesting it was Anton or Vacation Killers, but neither seem to fit.

I'm quite enjoying this season so far, a definite improvement over S3

Yeah I figured Asher, but was doing dramatic affect, apparently I failed wink
Dexter has stopped fucking up though, which is good.

The one surprise for me was that it happened so soon - I was picking Lundy to be Trinity's third victim, the bludgeoned one. I'll be curious to see where things go from here - still a fuckload of the season left.

Yeah, that episode was amazing!

Jeff, I deliberately didn't read this thread until I'd watched the latest episode. You have only yourself to blame.

Haven't got yesterday's episode yet, but I'm starting to like Trinity even though I'm not convinced by the writing :ithgow is doing well. Killing off Lundy was unexpected and I thought it's been done well, like has been said before I'm interested to see how this one pans out with over half of the season left. They could do like The Shield and make a season last about three days of real time but I'm guessing Dexter will try and be friends with Trinity because that's basically what happens every season. As whoever killed Lundy didn't steal the dictaphone I don't reckon it was Trinity, so that person could be the next focus.
And Trinity bumping into Lundy was the stupidest thing ever, not sure what the writers and director were thinking.

Dexter's going to stalk Trinity to 'connect' with him or to see how he 'connects' with other people.

Trinity will continue having conversations with people in shops where they think that they are talking about one thing but he's actually talking about killing people!

As Lundy kills parents, each with two kids and a young woman is he recreating some family tragedy, would fit with the mother's ashes and the having a drink with someone who isn't there. I'm hoping they'll come up with something a bit better though smile
The next episode is waiting for me as soon as I get my shit together and do some fucking work.

Yeah, this season is a bit too obvious. Most of the "surprises" aren't really surprising.

Yeah, it's not great, it's okay though, and I'm starting to like John Lithgow now. Him killing the photographer I think is interesting.

I didn't think bumping into Lundy was that bad, they were both staking out the same building and Lundy had been in the paper that day.

Everyone not believing in the serial killer was a bit stupid though, especially as it was extremely obvious that there really was a serial killer. All these serial killers living in Miami though seems a little implausible however. I don't see how they can keep the show running much longer really, next series should just be about him getting caught

No, next season will be about him trying to find a different way of assuaging his dark hunger, but his past will come back to haunt him. Either that or they finish the show and start either or both of two spin-offs: Dexter - The Early Years about his childhood, and Dexter Continues - Harrison Morgan, about how his son follows his legacy despite him trying to grow him up as a normal kid.

I mean, they should have ended the show with his marriage and started something else, but this is US television.

It was entirely possible but the way the scene was done was absolute shit.

the whole thing with the photographer seems a bit too like the whole thing with killing prado. I'm guessing it will turn out the photographer was a killer and the assistant was just dumping the body.

I'm guessing next season dexter will have a protege. Maybe Cody but they seem to be hesitaing on that idea.

Jef, do you want me to spoil the books for you? I've read some interesting information from the wikipedia entry, but if you're planning on reading them, I'm not going to ruin your fun.

With a combination of this thread, wikipedia and the downoad sites having too much info I've spoilered myself to fuck as far as Dexter goes smile
I'm going to get the books at some point but the spoiler you're thinking of I already know about. That book's plotline sounds rubbish anyway smile

Yeah, it's interesting that I thought up something similar before having read it. Though he doesn't need his "own" son there, eh?

Anyway, how do you mean by download sites? Just go find a torrent, they're never spoilered.

I tend to use katz and rapidshare etc.

rapidshare are such cunts with "non-premium" users. I wish more people would use mediafire instead.

megaupload is better, but more people use rapidshare, I think it offers better benefits to uploaders.

Holy shit what an emotional rollercoaster of an episode! Some seeds followed to fruition, utterly new mental stuff, twists and turns, bloody hell! I hope it doesn't end up being anti-climactic like today's campaign-ending session, where most of us were killed by an evil cloud and then by a ninja.

The bit at Trinity's house was fucking brilliantly done, I reckon. Not such a fan of the twist at the very end - not surprised about who the shooter is (although I was picking someone else), but the twist felt a bit forced. Still, all up possibly the best ep of the season.

Also, I'm so fucking sick of Angel and LaGuerta.

The twist at the very end was way out there. Though now I feel stupid for not having made that connection. I was wondering how long it would take for Rita and Friendly Neighbor Dude to get it on, too bad they left it at a short kiss. Of course, the biggest tragedy of this episode is Masuka just throwing away that tray of chocolate goodness. eek
And yes, Angel and/or LaGuerta need to get fired already, they've been dragging that subplot on for too damn long.
