Oh fucking christ - these platformists are everywhere! Wankers - bobby should feel right at home though.
And choccy, I apologise for not being able or inclined to keep up with his many multiple personalities - apparently there are even more of them on the Warzone site!
The AWSM member I met wad really sound and had spot on politics.
Beyond Resistance seem more bobby's cup of tea.
Their website also lists libcom.org alongside ABC: spanning the gulf between lefty-liberal platformism and revol68.

Apparently posting this thread has just got me univited to bobbys leaving drinks
Who ever said platformists were humourless wasn't wrong.
I'm sure you're gutted.
p.s. you haven't got back to me about that pint.

It's been sitting there for half an hour, just take it.
The AWSM member I met wad really sound and had spot on politics.
I thought you met asher?
Deezer - We aren't a platformist group. 2 of our members are platformists, but that's a pretty small minority.
weeler - Wanker. And nah, Jack didn't meet me, he met another AWSM'er, who does indeed have spot on politics.
I have to say that, for he printed up copies of Strategy and Struggle.
My joke was proper good.
Nothing surprises me these days.
Without wanting to srs libcommunity up too much AWSM do seem better than the WSM, from the (very limited) amount I've seen of them. Although, I have to say, if you're not platformists, I'm a bit confused as to why your A&Ps end with:
"9: We acknowledge that by implementing the organisation section of the The Organizational Platform of the Libertarian Communists - theoretical unity, tactical unity, collective responsibility and federalism - we will be best able to move forward in promoting the aims and principles of the Aotearoa Workers Solidarity Movement."
BELFAST WSM RELEASE STATEMENT
Effective from midnight tonight, the Belfast WSM will be no more. Speaking from Kelly's Cellars, founder Bobby/micky5/john09/graham/Maloney made the following statement:
"After a year agus a half's GOOD STUFF, the Belfast Branch of the WSM will cease all activities as of midnight tonight, 8 Oct 2009. Here is a wsm link. Both of us will continue to battle against MDMA becaue it is full of poseurs.
Both of us are aware that this will leave little mark on the political landscape of Belfast. Both of us are proud of the GOOD STUFF talks we arranged such as the bi-monthly 'building anarchism' talk for which Dublin members were regularly bused-up and we sometimes had to cancel. Here is a WSM link.
Sometimes it is time to call it quits or to leave as if there is no debate there is only childish debate! As I say 'if you can't stand the heat get out of the fryin pan!
We would like to thank Dublin-based WSM members for getting the 7am bus to Belfast for MayDay agus for following our requests not to speak to members of ORANGISE who would not even kill a tout! Here is a WSM link. Deezer only did half the course!
Both of us are proud that Belfast WSM were the first all-Catholic anarchist group in north of Ireland history. Here is a WSM link. You would be surprised how much of an insurrectionist tendency there is!
Come to a leaving meeting in the Culturlann."

Just to continue implanting libcommunity with the serious gene for a minute, like I said before, we do have a couple of members who identify as platformists. To me (a non-platformist anarchist-communist), theoretical & tactical unity and collective responsibility are just common sense for any serious political org, and federalism the same for any anarchist one. From my memory of the discussions when we were creating our A&Ps, everyone else agreed on that. The specific mention of the Platform was (IMO) done for two reasons - firstly, to acknowledge that for some of us, that was the document that first brought those ideas (perhaps less so for federalism) to our attention in terms of group structure, and partially as a concession to the platformist members of the group. Also, there may have been some desire to use the Platform to help ensure our separation from the anti-organisational elements of anarchism in NZ, as the Platform is to them what pork is to my religious Jewish family
AFAIK, A-Fed acknowledges the Platform as an influence along similar lines to AWSM, don't they? Although not in their A&Ps.

Well, Beyond Resistance have a link to S & S on the top of their 'recommended reading' list.
Best communique ever.

Belfast Ogra WSM
Without Belfast WSM who will point out the sectarianism of Organise in a completely non-sectarian way? I'm also concerned that they will continue to launch personal attacks without someone to call them on it.
What's "agus" mean? All I got is this:
AGC, formerly AGUS, is an acronym for atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance.
I emailed Bobby/graham/micky5/john09/maloney to find out:
"go raibh maith agat for your email Choccy
as you know, Belfast WSM disbanded yesterday, but before that all our meetings were conducted 'as gaelige' which means 'in irish' because were were the first 100% fenian anarchist group in the NORTH OF IRELAND.
As per your request for a translation of the word 'agus', it means 'and' in english.
DEEZER ONLY DID HALF THE COURSE!
Slan
Bobby/maloney/micky5/john09/graham
ex-leader Belfast Ogra WSM"
Also, Belfast WSM's funeral included a volley of shots from loyal supporters.
Oh. Kay. Thanks for passing my question on to Bobby/maloney/micky5/john09/graham/Elvis.
