new series, I want to watch, stupid internet links are dead. Can someone hook me up? If you don't want to do it on the board you can pm me a link. I watched the whole of series two yesterday and I need more.

I'm forgetting what violent but understated self-hatred and the absolute lack of hope feels like. I miss being in England sad

This episode's brilliant. Watched it a second time last night. The dad and brother are ridiculously ingenius characters.

hmmm i actually thought the last episode was abit weak, it was far too close to Sit Com, far too driven by ridiculous 'situations' rather than the ridiculous thoughts and dialogue of Mark and Jeremy in otherwise normal situations. The brother and father were just abit too much. Hopefully it will better now they are back in London and that was just a one off.

I agree, I only had one belly laugh and that was "Fit? This isn't Hollyoaks, she probably had a ration book!!" Mark and Jeremy were the normal characters by comparison. It was still funny, just not quite as good as the preceding.

Curb Your Enthusiasm's starting to lean a little in the ridiculous situation zone too, unfortunately, although a few episodes of the new series are fuckin incredible, like the ski lift one.

The lads are in a film called Magicians coming out next month, got an offer to go to an advanced screening but it looks shite, anyone know anything about it?

If Bain and Armstrong wrote it it might actually funny. If Mitchell and Webb wrote it, it will defo be ballicks.

Thankfully, it's Bain and Armstrong.

I don't think I could sit though an entire film that was as "well written" as That Mitchell and Web Look.

yeah but Mitchell n Webb wrote that themselves, I only saw 2 episodes, not funny.
When they played Belfast last year apparently someone shouted "why isn't this funny?" in the middle of the set

British TV leads to British film. When has that ever lead to anything that wasn't hilarious.

TF just cause nothing is ever going to quite match the success of On the Buses doesn't mean you have to rubbish people.

I saw one episode of series 1, and thought it was shite. confused

Perhaps I'm not enough of a self-obsessed wanker to be able to empathise with the main characters.

You have to give peepshow a bit of time, also the reason you can't empathise is because you are self-obsessed roll eyes

Also I don't think the first series was as good as 2 and 3.

But definitely looking better than series 4 after last night's. Mark and Jez are now actually saying ridiculous things rather than just thinking them (well, mainly mark who changed. but the whole thing with big suze was a bit... oh man, what?). And I didn't really laugh at any of it at all.

There was a brilliant script for an 'Allo 'Allo revival but those bastards in Hollywood pulled the plug. I've been bitter ever since.

I've watched a few episodes and not found any of it funny (apart from the 'angry lapdance' last night grin). Last night's was really crap.

Not like watching old harry enfield/fast show/little britain 'catchphrase comedy'.

Yeah the angry lap dance was easily the best bit...she was furious and rightfully so - her point about his aims being too diffuse was spot on! Also i liked the name of the club - Lap Land Kettering! lol! grin

But yeah the earlier series were a lot funnier..
