Photo Library

Just an idea.

One of the problems any publications have is lack of copyright free good quality photographs. (not "action shots" just general illustrations - countryside, housing, railways, factories, offices etc.)

I expect many people here have cameras and (if the weather ever improves) may well be out and about and be able to take some snaps.

So are there any subjects people want photographed for a library of copyright free photos that publications can use? IS there space in the library to store many photographs? (format?)

We're working on fixing the way we handle images - which will allow for tagged image galleries etc. Before we can do that properly we need to move a load of stuff from the old ways of doing images we're using, and /gallery.

When it's set up properly, it'll allow us to have both 'action shots' and some general-use images in it, I think we'd be definitely interested in something like that. There could be performance issues with very high quality images. Web-quality is easy, once they go over a MB or two it gets trickier.
