I was just watching an interview with them on MTV. Are they jesus boys? There was something about the way they were talking about stuff kinda hinted at it. Anyoen know?
Also why are they always semi naked in everything? (apart from the obvious)

Don't think they're Xtians.
I quite like them. Saw them play at a festival a few years ago and they were great. Anthony Kiedis is one of the few men I'd call beautiful, Brad Pitt is another.

Nah they're not Jesus bummers (as far as I know) but they're pretty *spiritual*, Kiedis especially is into the whole yoga and meditation thing and they seem to talk about stuff in terms of *energy* and *vibes* a lot.
They are ao awesome. (although their recent albums have been fairly poor) I'm all for the semi-nudity. Anthony Kiedis is doing so well for his age. Oh man. Although nothing can beat how hot he was in the mid nineties...

Thing is though, musically they're still a fuckload better than the vast majority of mainstream bands and still coming up with new material which, while not as good as their older albums, is still a hell of a lot better than most new music. And I think it's great that they can still give an energetic performance. What does age have to do with it?

Me and Revol have had this conversation before and it's come up on other threads, but RHCP are up there with the above named bands and I'll add REM to that list as the safest dullest possible bands you could have as your "favourite".
I mean I actually like FooFighters first 2 albums and they're later stuff is catchy (but not buyable), I vene like bits of U2 and Coldplay, but seriously when someone lists them as they're fave band, part of me just thinks "this person doesn't really like music".

You can't put the Chili Peppers in the same category as Coldplay, Feeder and the Stereophonics 'cause those bands have NEVER produced anything half decent, let alone amazing like the Chili Peppers did in the 80s and early 90s.
As for "not really liking music", the Chili Peppers (I'm not counting Kiedis 'cause while he's a great frontman he's an appalling singer) are some of the best musicians about at the moment, I for one have been in awe of Flea since the age of 12 and never cease to admire his technical skill and groove.

Well, Grace is right and everyone else is wrong. It's a simple as that. I went with knightrose jnr to see them in Manchester last year. Put simply, they are good. Sure, Flea was talking shit about downloading, but who cares. And I wish at my age I still had a body like they've all got. Little Miss Knightrose really likes Feeder too. And the Foo Fighters did a good gig at Leeds last year. So keep dissing them and you'll have the whole family after you. Agree about Coldplay, though.

but yea, flea talked a load of bullshit about the downloading album thing, that is true. then, when he found out the sound quality wasnt any worse, he posted another email on the board taking back his previous statement and he said hed download it if he was in the same shoes as the fans.
sure as hell, im in the fanclub so everything i say about them is going to be totally biased.
i love their music, john frusciante (hes the guitarist who looks like jesus) has really put himself out there on their new album (its on bit torrent), flea is his usual self, anthonys still writing shite lyrics that i seem to love... cant beat chad, hes big and bald.
anthony is um... i think hes some kind of jewish thing that madonna is into. flea and chad are athiests, and johns fucked.
there you go... going to see them on the 11th july too. and i went to see them on top of the pops (fuck man, im really quite sad) and i met flea (it gets worse...) and my username is a song by them which is having a big ass go at catholicism.

haha, yea. i went to this gig where patti smith was doing a hendrix appreciation (whoever said sixth formers who like chilis dont have a taste in music dont get it...) and waited for a few hours to meet him. he really is VERY short.
