he's hardly dived this season at all. i think i even saw more rooney dives than ronaldo which is pretty remarkable (given that he's proud and english and ronaldo's deceitful and of foreign-descent. english players don't cheat or dive, they tactically fall).

Rooney has been been great over the past tow seasons, just because he isn't the raw 19 year old running at defences from the hole doesn't mean he isn't the 'hot prospect he once was', it means his game is maturing and he's got a more complete game. And if Ronaldo does leave Fergie will buy and out and out striker and that'll allow Rooney to slip back into his most natural position.
