If thats typical, English boneheads are even dumber than their American comrades-in-arms. I'd hate to break it to wiganmike and his little friends, but they're no threat at all to the organized working class, ethnic minorities in the UK or to the state or to anything really. They look like a minor local irritant at worst.

I think these are the same lot who did an 'anti-antifa' action in Manchester city center a bit ago, which turned out to mean attempting to attack the street stall of the Stalinoid Revolutionary Communist Group, being seen off by those manning it (mostly young women from what I understand) and being rounded up by the police as they attempted to melt into the surroundings.

hilariously fail as this is, does anyone think it represents a desire amongst fash to return to a street-based strategy, perhaps disillusioned with the electoralism and toned-down racism of the BNP? or did they just watch 'this is england' and dig the aesthetic?
we've been thinking about this in brighton since the BNP is trying to relaunch a local branch here - where they've no chance of any significant electoral success (the greens poll over 20% here in comparison to a national average of 1%). i mean brighton's also gor shitloads of anarchists up for a ruck, so i don't think they'd get very far with a street-based approach either, just wondering what they're trying to do.

This lot call themselves the racial volunteer force. They're connected to the walking abortion that if the British Peoples Party. They were supposed to do 'security' for the BPP at the anti-hip-hop demo in Leeds last year.
I think the we may see some sort of a return to some kind of streeet tactics from certain parts of the right but they don't have the strength from what I've seen to attempt to recreate the 70's/80's.
JK, for some reason I don't see them getting very far in brighton. Was it the BNP who got set about by a bunch of butch male S+M'ers at Pride the one year in Brighton?

yeah, those proud aryan warriors got beaten by a bunch of 'degenerate queers' while the cops looked on apparently.
about 200 people turned up to a short-notice anti-BNP demo in hove recently when the BNP meet-up was leaked for an attempt to restart their local branch. they hid in a local pub, were spotted by the 30 or so masked up anarchos, which triggered some pushing and shoving with the cops. they'd be massively outnumbered down here if they tried a street strategy, just curious really. i'd expect disillusionment in the BNP's electoral turn, just wondering what forms it will take.

probably fuller than most places. a lot of the smash edo lot, plus some AR types and a smattering of anti-capitalist movement vets. smash edo turned the cops over a few months back in a riot of 3-500 people, not all black bloc'ers by any means, but more 'up for it kicking off' (in Raw-speak) than your typical anti-war demo.

These lot are a bunch of tired old farts trying to do the Nazi hardman thing and failing miserably. These kind of clowns are too busy falling out with each other, grassing each other up to the cops, being sectioned, stabbing each other or drinking themselves to death to be much of a threat to anyone. Any 'street action' recently has been initiated by antifa and has involved the Nazis being on the receiving end. I'd be much more worried of a wave of new and young fascists turning to street tactics, but I haven't seen any sign of that.

Its safe in the sense that its a pretty liberal place, has two universities and you can walk home any time of night and so on, but i wouldn't call it ''middle class''. Wages are very low and jobs are mostly only avaialble in service and leisure industres, while rent and the number unemployed or people in very casual employment is high, its also got a lot of deprived areas around it like whitehawk and moulscombe.

When I visited it seemed like a middle class commuter hub. Obviously there will be other elements too. I really liked it btw, middle class isn't always an insult. I was the only one smoking outside the pub though...
