Sleep
Coudn't sleep until about 4am last night. Lay in bed from midnight until then thinking 'wtf'. Why does this happen sometimes and how do I fix it?
Don't consume stimulants before going to bed, and if you're not prone to addictive behaviour, a joint can be just the ticket. Or doing a bit of exercise.
Wank yourself unconscious. You'll have a cock like a bit of pepperami, but you'll be gettin da zzzzzzzzzzzs
whisky and/or rum in industrial quantities. well cottage-industry quantities, we are communists.
What cocktails have you been mostly mixing this season, JK???
I think it might be alcohol or nicotine related - more precisely not consuming either since Saturday for once. Possible?
i has been mostly mixing dr pepper and jägermeister. looks like guiness and is awesome. my flatmate has so far vetoed plans to explore the 'supermalt-as-mixer' avenue...
Quitting smoking can mess up your sleep. I'm a bit of an insomniac but I find that exercise in the day can help you sleep and if you can't sleep after a while, get up, do something and then go back to bed. If it's just a one off then it's probably stress.
Aren't you rich enough to pay for advice.
I have this too sometimes. I hate it, when your mind is going many ways and you have to sleep. You can either try and deal with your anxieties or like Rob Ray said, smoke a joint (and beat off).
Going to doctor laters. Sorted.
wanking wakes me up, you only get sleepy when there's a woman because you have to do so much extra work.
it releases sleep chemicals actually, needless to say, im raw.
You're going to the doctor because you had trouble sleeping a couple nights?
And you wonder why they won't give you free healthcare?
Nah, seemed different to regular having trouble sleeping. Fuck free healthcare, I has insurance.
Yup, quiting tobacco and/or booze can give you a case of insomnia.
Will I live?
You'll live. You might feel like shit on a stick for a while but you'll live. Although the early stages of alcohol withdrawal always made me feel goofy and energetic.
Short odds that Weeler smokes and drinks in Belfast at the weekend.
Don't encourage him y'all!

Did I give the impression I wasn't going to? I'm just cutting back a little, weekends are go.
doing a phd fucks your sleep into all mental types of loser patterns
Mental sleep patterns are one thing, horrible insomnia is another. There are times I choose not to sleep or whatever but thats different to your body and you wanting to be asleep but just lying there.
what you need is port, by the pint.
if i'm still posting here in an hour, my thesis has been falsified.

Looks like its worked, by my watch. Hope you havent choked on your own puke.
A roommate of mine took melatonin capsules for his insomnia, worked pretty well for him.
Or you can do what I did--get so horribly horribly addicted to caffeine that you're just incapable of staying awake more than a couple hours without it.

my head hurts
slept well, just made sure i had plenty of iron in my diet yesterday, didnt nap on bus home from work or when I got home. Also, reading simone de beauvoir's bio sent me straight to sleep. nine hours and I'm feeling dandy.
dude, i hasn't slapt properly for about a month. I work at mcdonalds, half the time i finish at twelve then start work the next morning at five
if that's true, and you actually exist, it's illegal. there's a statutory minimum time between the end of your shift and the start of the next one, 11 hours i think. least that was the case a couple of years ago when my ex had a similar situation.
Try not being on the internet for an hour or two before going to bed. Online activity keeps our mind hyper-stimulated. Like techno ADD.

I have not had anything resembling a proper sleeping pattern for about 7 years now, you'll get used to it.
