Actually, Omar is basically better than everything, in every other TV show or any entertainment medium, ever. If the show was just Omar wandering around bumming his boyfriend and robbing drug dealers, and nothing else, it'd still be amazing.

the court room scene with him as a witness was sweet, his put down to the lawyer that he was essentially a parasite making a living off the back of crime was the best.

Just this week I have started to watch the beginning of season 2 (I gave up on season 1), and while I will be off to the video rental joint this afternoon to get the next dvd (episodes 3-5?), I still haven't figured out why this show is so popular. I have not been grabbed by the characters or the plot so far (why I gave up on season 1), and I'm forcing myself to sit through a couple more episodes just to see if it does anything for me.
In the meantime, can someone please explain to this thick-skulled anarch why it is that so many other libertarians enjoy this show? So far I just don't get it.
