get an n95 8gb, or better yet, wait a couple months and get an n96. Getting an iphone now is like buying an ipod in 2004 - price and content aren't up to the competition.

26 June, 2008 - 13:56

They're releasing the new iphone on July 11th you cretin.

26 June, 2008 - 13:56

Dude, buy it, your life will be 100% better.

Things I am buying this month to make all ther badness go away:

More records, as usual.
Going to USA in 2 weeks - nothing bad ever happens in US, fact. I will probably spend a lot of money on records, books, and shirts.

More NB 574 - can never have enough pairs of these beauties

that's Jack's point I believe. Don't buy shit when it's just out, you get ripped off.

Bebook

Having gotten one for my birthday, now a very happy reader on buses, trains etc – and not limited to stupid bulky one-trick paper slabs any more or tiny flickery battery-limited computer screenage.

26 June, 2008 - 14:04

Oh yay, now I can read books no matter where I am. Oh wait.

26 June, 2008 - 14:05

Ah don’t play coy you love the reading.

26 June, 2008 - 14:06

I don't, I'm a writer. wink

Seriously though, books are portable enough?

O hai. Exactly the same, but with gps and 3G. Still sub-standard.

2 mp camera and no copy paste, ffs.

26 June, 2008 - 14:10

how can you afford this shit?
you pay more then $100 for a phone and you are a fucking yuppie
i'm right again on this

26 June, 2008 - 14:11

Jack, I'm a moron who rates hype and style over substance. How have you not noticed this yet?

Still thought, at least I didn't try claim the Dreamcast was a good console like certain people.

26 June, 2008 - 14:12

Kinda, but there’s a few minor advantages…

- Bebook is lighter
- Once you’ve bought it, any text online can be moved onto it via doc files etc for free, so way cheaper in long run
- Eco-friendly in the long run ( embarrassed ) because you get 7,000 pages per recharge and can store 18,000 titles
- When your eyesight deteriorates from too much time spent posting online, you can increase the text size
- Saves shelf-space

If I spend more than half a day's wages on a phone I'm a yuppie? Seriously, its not like I'm a big earner. Plus I don't pay rent.

26 June, 2008 - 14:13

ooh look at me, i have an "iphone", it has the stockmarket at the touch of a button and many other features that your phone does not have. fuck off.

half a days wages? how much do you earn!?

Bebook has 512MB internal memory

That would be its major downfall I think. Its quite cheap to build things with much more memore like?

26 June, 2008 - 14:20

Well yeah but it comes with a Gig on SD, and bearing in mind the average book is about 300kb cos it’s all text, it’s not like you run out fast – plus anything you’ve already read can go on your main computer. The main drawback is the music function, which yeah the memory is way too small for, but tbh I can’t concentrate on reading if I’ve got music on as well so tis not much of a bother.

$100 is €63.8732754, which is less than half a days wages. I'm not discussing my income online dude. smile

What are you on about?

They are dropping the price with the new release. I dont know what you mean by cut the bullshit? I never said it cost 'half a days wages'. It will cost at least a day's wages.

26 June, 2008 - 14:31

I'll obviosuly never actually buy one cos in reality I am a bit oldschool.

No u

26 June, 2008 - 15:50

why wouldn't you spend shit loads on a phone? confused price of the iphone isn't the issue, it's just there are loads better alternatives.

You have it with you more often than any item of clothing or jewelery, and a better phone actively improves your life. For example, since i got my £600 (pre subsidy) phone, i've had internet access wherever i go, a second mp3 player if my ipod is out of batteries, a good quality camera constantly on me, msn at work etc, etc.

26 June, 2008 - 15:52

You are arguing usefulness over style now. You probably wear those rapist boots you claim to hate so much.
