I'll be in the arena in half an hour.
Alves vs Kampmann
The semifinals of the midget tournament
Steve Irwin's bodyguard
A bunch of dudes no one's ever heard of
I'm fucking pumped for this.

It was fucking sweet.
Got home, looked at Bloody Elbow, turns out they transcribed the scores wrong and Johnson/McCall should have been a draw and hence a 4th round. Instead they're going to rematch next month. Morons.
I'm seriously considering going to Brazil for UFC 147 on June 16 to see Silva/Sonnen 2 as I'll be on holiday anyway and could stop off on my way to Europe. Anyone else keen?
Fuckin hell Brazil! I really want to go out and train in Brazil at some stage. Going to help out at the Abu Dhabi pro trials tomorrow here, a few from our gym are competing. But i'll be fucked if I ever make it to train in Brazil
Given how rubbish my BJJ is I'd be too embarrassed to train in Brazil.
I thought 147 was going to be in Sao Paulo but it might get moved to Rio which would be good as Rio looks like it would be a much better place to visit:

If I could train with anyone (other than the people I train with now who I would rather have than anyone else) it would be Saulo Ribeiro, I love how most of his books and videos are predicated on the idea that it is far more important to achieve solid posture and the ability to survive with a good defense as the best form of offense than to delve into more advanced locks and chokes without mastering the ability to deny an opponent and thus open him up to attack on the back of his frustrated offense.
I am also curious about all the rubber guard stuff so if I am ever in the US I am definitely going to road trip up to tenth planet, hell maybe I will run into Joey Karate
I'm not too clear on the BJJ big names but I'm pretty sure it was Ribeiro that someone on Bloody Elbow said stopped listening halfway through the BJJ mantra of "position before submission".
FIGHTING!
