Gorgeous bass
i'm listening to pissing little management undergrads mouthing off really loud about how shit their degree is and elbowing me 'by mistake' in the computer room
bloody kids, don't they know i'm far more important than them? i hope they're reading this over my shoulder...
ahem, er yes, that's what i'm listening to right now.
nonmusic.
I'm listening to Rayess Bek, shouty artsy lebanese hip hop and it's sooooo good. Even if he is an arab nationalist.
I'm watching a kids TV show about Doctor Who 8)
Dammit, it's supposed to be about music, not TV or birds or students in libraries!!!
Mighty Lemon Drops - Rollercoaster
Dammit, it's supposed to be about music, not TV or birds or students in libraries!!!
I pity the person who can only hear music in the form of contrived 3 minute pieces.
Music is encoded in the very fabric of life, our soundtrack defies all rythmn and structure, the proletarian revolution is our crescendo.
Ian Hunter, All American Alien Boy 30th Anniversary re-issue.
neighbours prattlin on in the background. one day i will make it to ramsay street... 8)

Says the indie boy. We all know that real music comes in hours-long DJ sets with no discernable tracks, and fucking brutal bass, played by geeky looking men with laptops

ooh yeah.
now the birds have gone. well, they're still there probably but i've gone home. long weekend yippee! in-laws of sorts visiting, less yippee
anway, you wan't music zobag? the contrived recorded sort? (whats she like hey revol
). at the moment i'm listening to tool, aenima, on your recommendation, since i like lateralus. i've also downloaded some (t)INC since people bang on about them, but i haven't listened yet. i'm so impressionable.
A six song sampler for Thursday's new album. It has 3 awesome full tracks and 3 samples.

Nice one!!! One of my favourite ever albums. Undertow is good but doesn't have the same kind of spooky feel as aenima or lateralus, and Opiate is good but barely recognisable as the same band (except for the vocals which are still great) - much more raw and old school metal/rock. That said, Tool are one of the few metal bands that don't seem to have got crap as they've got more money to spend - you can definately tell that lateralus has a bigger budget, but it's still really original and unusual. 8)

yeah i like the production on lateralus its got great dynamics and a big sound [/techie]
first impression is aenima isn't as good but i'll relisten on headphones on the train to work, stuff sounds better that way
. I'm now onto (t)INC, one track in, and so far its
a mixture of sparklehorse, her space holiday and smashing pumpkins

Yeah I guess it's not got the same amount of technical tweakery going on, it's a bit... oh I don't know the words. I prefer aenima to lateralus it's a bit darker, but I guess it dpends on what you're into. And yeah it's a really personal album for me, means a lot
Like, stinkfist for example managed to put into words all kinds of weird shit I was going through but never would have been able to express, and it's just... so fucking good.
Ah deary me I'm going all nostalgic and emotional!

damned communist digital gift economy
- i clocked that one 'cos of 'communist moon' on the tracklisting, i wondered what that was all about. i'll try and find survival sickness now
wouldn't soulseek be better for music than torrents?
probably but i uninstalled it after getting viruses quite regularly
What kind of ape would u have to be to get viruses via SLSK?! Wtf were u downloading?
TINC sound like some sort of crimethinc offshoot.

How's that even possible? INC are a band!
edit - here's their smash it up video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syJ-aE6JF5E
right now - few bits'n'pieces by Cazals and then probably a couple of indie-dancy-remix things to get me in the party mood. Wooh yeah.

The names of the albums/tracks! The words in the video! Pfffffft!

well it corresponded with using it and stopped when i uninstalled it. i'm not sure how/what, was only mp3s i was d/l ing. And i'm 3/8's Homo sapien and 5/8's bonobo, so i'm told
I'm listening to:
Behind Enemy Lines - Murder at the G8 Summit , off of the "know your enemy" album; it is solid hardcore punk.

Where did you get soulseek from, some sneaky fuckers offer downloads of pay versions, I wouldn't put a virus or two past them.
Le souvenir de vous me tue, Burgundian chansons from the court of Phillip the Good.
Thought it would put me in a mediaeval mood, it hasn't so far, but I'll give it a bit longer.

just to get things rolling for part II, right now i'm listening to seagulls on the roof of my office. literally, thats not some obscure band
