There is a claim that City Fans live in Manchester and United fans are from outside, not really true as far as I know.
Ordinary fans are priced out of seeing Man U games in many cases.
Man U were the most hated team because they won everything and twats from all over the country supported them because of that (and made up tenuous reasons to justify it) they are less widely hated now because they are in a slump and Chelsea just bought the League title and are drawing some of the fire.
