Help us fight against London Borough of Brent's 30 evictions, that will destroy this friendly and well established community. Please join the fight againstcentral government's double standards, maladministration and empty promises!! Disguised as the controversial Decent Homes Standard.

www.allingtonroadsos.org

Web site has info and links to maladministration by 2 faced Councillors, Brent Council, BHP and housing departments.

We are low paid, key workers, terminally ill, old, single parents, artists, the

kind of community the government has no place for. Hence we face the streets, again!

The baliffs are coming on 6th November!! Please sread the word

It may be worth their while looking in detail at the "decent homes" stuff Brent have done. Properties can fail "decency" if their kitchen cupboards are old or they haven't been rewired in 30 years. It's quite likely that the co-op's homes do fail it, but that doesn't mean it would cost what the council say to remedy it. The money quoted to do this work depends on what the council intend to do - if they are using it to justify demolition or privatisation, they may well have opted for a higher standard within "Decent Homes" - if they intend to pursue the 4th option they are likely to have gone for a more basic interpretation.
