Midlands Discussion Forum Meeting, Birmingham FoE, 05/05/07

Greetings all,
The next meeting of the Midlands Discussion Forum is on Saturday 5th May at the FoE building in Digbeth, (probably) at 2pm.
The proposed topic for discussion is "Is there a revolutionary alternative to capitalism?" - all comrades are invited, indeed encouraged, to attend.

Hi there,
the group that runs this is the Midlands Discussion Forum. We're not the ICC, though some of the people who come regularly are close to them.
We've been going about 7 years, in that time we've had (from memory) something like 5 left communists (ICC or IBRP sympathisers), 3 anarchists (of various persuasions), 1 council communist, 1 situationist, and 1 socialist (of unclear persuasion), as well as a few other people of unclear politics generally, and some members of the ICC, IBRP and SPGB come to our meetings. Most of the people involved with the forum were also involved in Leicester No War but Class War.

I'd also like to confirm that it's DEFINATELY at 2pm, no 'probably' about it.

Sorry no, that's not us either... we generally meet in Leicester, we've had a few meetings in Birmingham in the last 7 years, pretty sure we've never had a meeting in Coventry.
Maybe that's the Warwickshire Anarchists? I don't know of any other groups in Coventry (maybe there are some - if you're reading this and you're from Coventry, please feel free to post to tell us all of your existence, and please come to the meeting in Birmingham on Saturday 5th!) so that would be my guess.

If you learn to read, i will learn to type, deal? i would maybe one day in the furture after the revolution like to visit comrades in US.
