Argentina: sitdown strike broken up by police
May 30 2007 13:36
At dawn on May 25th, over a hundred police stormed into a factory belonging to a company named Fargo (industry unstated) where workers were engaged in a sitdown strike. Two workers, Julio Gudiño and Gabriel Morales, were arrested. One unnamed worker was hospitalized as the result of a beating by the police.
The strike was called to demand wage equality after an assembly had compared wages in the plant with those of workers in other factories owned by Fargo.

Forgot the charges. Julio and Gabriel were charged with extortion and deprivation of liberty.
