There seems to be three types of people in the EDL: the hardcore Nazis, the football hooligans who just want a fight, and the naive nationalists who while they are nationalists haven't realised that nationalism is in fact a form of prejudice and also genuinely believe the sole purpose of the EDL is to oppose the violent and fundamentalist strands of Islam (a lot of this last category are probably in denial about what goes on at EDL marches)
Arthur: for the record, I don't think naivety is something to be ashamed of, its a product of human fallibility to which we're all subject. Don't be offended by the implication that you're naive. I'm sure I am too in many ways.
The funding of the [fundies] comes mainly from the Saudis, so when we get round to a demo outside their embassy, how can the UAF and other anti fascists groups oppose that. What excuse will they come up with.
Then why not start with a demo outside the Saudi embassy and then stick with demos outside the Saudi embassy?
(editor's note: radical = supporter of human emancipation, not fundamentalist bigot. It doesn't apply to supporters of Sharia law, they are the opposite of radical)
