French General Strike?
Awhile ago there was the update on the blog about the French unions deciding if they should call a general strike. I haven't seen any updates about the decision. Maybe I just missed it, but does anyone know what happened with this?
Yeah it's on:

But there's some confusion over whether it's an absolutely full on General Strike, or just a big "national strike" or something... The mainstream press are reporting a general strike though.
Very awesome. Anyone here doing work in solidarity with the French workers?
We (anarchist youth) are doing some soldiarity events in Dublin.
Tuesday - Leafleting (Its the high school students day of action)
Saturday - Possible stall
Tuesday - Some more stuff, yet to be decided. (seeing its the day of the strike)

there is a big public sector strike here on the same day, so many will prolly be busy with either participating to the strike or doing solidarity stuff.
It'll be a good day

i'm afraid we incorrectly reported this as a general strike at first. its not, although the mainstream press is still calling it such.
its not quite clear what its going to be tbh, a call has been made for a day of strikes, and the individual unions are now responding. is how i understand it.
here we go, its starting to come in now.
"15h34 Air France: eight trade unions call with the strike on March 28 against the contract first engages "
cool.
keep us updated.
March 24th, there is a protest planned in front of the French embassy in Montreal in solidarity with the anti-CPE movement.
