Greek Conspiracy Theories
Hi. I was wondering if the press anywhere else in the world is publishing conspiracy theories about the Greek riots. Our shit Rupert Murdoch paper "Polska" has got an interview with one Ioannis Michaletos. I googled him and found this in English:
http://europenews.dk/en/node/17226
Hold your hats: the anarchists are just puppets of Al Qaeda.
In the article we read:
In this case, an alternative point of view is going to be presented which derives from a careful analysis and observation of the riots in Greece and reliable information streaming from the domestic security circles. For obvious reasons, matters concerning operational or intelligence procedures will not be mentioned or commented.
The riots were orchestrated since late summer 2008. There were reports within the Greek police that the riots would commence by the Christmas period at the latest; the location and the justification was not known, but any event could have caused them. This is a copycat case of what happened in France in Octomber 2005.
The culprits in the higher level are Islamic netowrks in the Middle East, hand-in-hand with corrupted Western officials that are selling their services for the highest bidder.
The purpose is to destabilize Greece, since it is the “Weakest link” of the Eurozone countries. The ultimate goal is the creation of a European space suitable for expansion of the Middle Eastern networks. For the moment the latter use a variety of techniques to bolster their aims:
Terrorism, disinformation, Psy Ops, bribing officials. They are trying to throw USA against Russia from one side and disentegrate the bonds between EU-USA from the other side. They are the ones that burned Greek forests in summer 2007, in an operation some call “Ibrahim Project”, thus reminding of the same damages in the same region by Ibrahim Pasha of Egypt during the Greek revolution in the summer of 1827.
here is a great issue nowadays with the existence of more than obvious links between renegade intelligence officers of Western origin with anarchist-radical movements in order to destabilize European countries.
The anarchist-radical network of disoriented youth is very strong in Europe as the riots in 2005 showed where the radicals and the Muslims joined forces to damage Sarkozy’s image to no avail. In France recently it was announced by the Ministry of Interior that French anarchists that were in contact with Greek and Italian counterparts, tried to sabotage the railway network (TGV trains). The inability of the western goverments to comprehend what is really at stake already has grave consequences for Europe.
Moreover the deals being made between European and Russian energy companies that will increase natural gas imports by the former, greatly diminishes the influence of the Saudis in Europe along with their long-term income.
The new American Administration should really understand that it has been used for a number of years by Riyad (and others) that has already managed to throw American forces into the Iraqi and Afgani battlefields were the new 21st century Mujahedeen forces are being molded. They will be used against Europe in a few years in a play that surpasses the ability of the Western capitals to deal with this kind of war.
Back to Greece, the riots were executed using internet-new media techniques, such as instant messaging from a mobile phone to webpages such as Indymedia along with use of CB’s, facebook pages, walkie-talkies, and construction of “Flow-networks” and already established “dark networks” within the city.
The French goverment has already called for tough action by the Greek goverment, whilst the intelligence apparatus of the former provides assistance to the latter. Over the coming days it seems that all the known security forces in the world will either try to take advantage of the situation or take the side of the Greek goverment.
As a concluding mark, the present blog emphatically notes that the responsibility of the Western capitals is of historical purpotions. Rioting by “Radical youth” will become an everyday reality in the Continent in the coming years and the security forces should look further than their noose when assesing a situation.
A 4th world war errupted in 2001, which has enemy collaborators within our ranks. Before any victory can be called, they should be removed and punished accordingly.
The riots in Greece are just one small incident of the ongoing war that may last more than the previous ones and it is one of all-encompassing national, social, and economic nature.
Interested readers should not forget that the first “Little war” of the Cold war started in Greek soil in 1946. The enemy then was clear and present. Now it is not and the effort will be much more difficult.
Post Scriptum
1)Quite a few Greek “radical groups” have adopted Arabic "Noms de Guerre", promote illegal immigration of Muslims into Europe and call in for the destruction of Western civilazation. They are part of an almost global network that acts as a “Soft power” element of the hard one as envisaged by Al Qaeda. Once more, it has to be stressed that rogue elements of Western security forces protect them and they have to be dealt with as soon a spossible.
I blame the Jews.
It was definitely the Romans, imperialism never dies.
I blame the Jews.
I blame the homosexuals, and the blacks.

Don't forget the immigrants!
A comrade of mine used to promote the idea of the anarchists taking over the "weakest link" but he always used to suggest that the easiest place to take over is actually Finland. They do have less tear gas there.
the easiest place to take over is actually Finland.
I'd promote Island. They have less than 100 anti riot cops, they don't have a single water canon or armoured vehicle, they people are awfully angry anywhere, they are on a strategic position right between Europe and the Americas and the best thing about it is, that after a nice riots day you can plop into hot thermal water, drink a bear and barter your poorest horses with your friends while your a sitting in the soup. I guess 1.000 greek kids could do the job within two days, I they threaten to use Hákarl instead of molotov cocktails. Island is ripe for revolution and most people there are underhand anarchists anyway.
There used to be a time when anarchists really imagined creating a separate "homeland". Just wonder, in case of embargo, if there would be anything to eat there other than fish.
Seriously, I understand that anarchists there are doing a relatively good job of agitating.
Just wonder, in case of embargo, if there would be anything to eat there other than fish.
As long as you arent't a vegetarian or vegan, yes. They got lots of sheep, nice little horses with six-fold overdrive transaxle and big muscles, ugly colorful birds called "lundi" and really fat segulls. Hence, enough proteins for carnivors. But things are improving even for the "V"-faction: Since there are incredible amounts of cheap geothermal energy, people began to grow tomatos and other stuff in greenhouses. In Selfoss you sometimes feel like you were in the Netherlands. And Island will be one of the winners of global warming, at least as long as the gulf stream will not collapse as a result of the glacier smelter in Greenland (would be another nice place, less than 20 riot cops but hardly any hot water).
With Iceland there are only a small couple of caveats:
First the language - if you ever wanted to know, why the Europeans really were terrified by the Viking mass tourism 1000 years ago, you should try to listen to an Icelander. It is even worse than English even though there is a lot of Icelandic in the English language (And English mass tourism sometimes very much reminds me of a nice little Viking – drinking, looting and other things that aren't in fact politically correct).
Second the alcohol: If you ever thought Dutch beer is horrible, you should try to get an icelandic one. Same goes with the Brennivin, the hard stuff for hard winters. They call it the "svarti dauði" –the "black death"– and this is what it is. Even hard-core Russian or Polish vodka addictives would not touch it whilst they are not on a cold turkey. Icelanders need it so they can stand that the smell of that Hakarl I talked about earlier. Their strategy with it is to die of alcoholic cirrhosis before they die of all the acetone in that fermented rotten shark. Often they are really successful with it.
Third: The elves and the trolls: If you –like any other brave materialist– thought, that there are no elves and trolls, forget about it. Or at least do not let the Icelander know. Most of them confess they have seen elves and trolls at least one time in their live. I don't know whether this is related to the "svarti dauði", but a good portion of the them even claims to have had sex with one of them. Ok, to be honest, this goes more for the elves than for the trolls.
But apart from this small defects, Island is a really nice place to be. Well, at least during the northern summer. But this is no problem at all. We could move our anarchist community with a fleet of black and red Zeppelins to –let's say– Patagonia during the northern winter. Would be a good opportunity for a stopover at the Azores islands which are another nice place. Some more cops, amounts of hot water, more beef to eat than horses and lots of vegetables for the "V" faction.
Trolls - you mean the internet kind or this kind?
I am not sure whether this is a troll or a baby photo of Red Zora. Normally trolls are at least three meters high and of bad humour. Remember that Moria cave troll in "Lord of the rings"? In Germany is it a running gag that once you see an ugly riot cop everybody shouts "Hey look, they've got a cave troll!".
These trolls look nicer than riot cops.
I've think we've gone just a bit off topic, but thanks for the laughs.
I think we need to take this a bit more seriously. There has already been a preparation for comparing al-qaeda with the Bolsheviks in some commentary on the subject. I think it's Jason Burke who suggests that al-qaeda interpret "muslim consciousness" in a similar way to the Bolsheviks' interpretation of class consciousness - i.e. a massive, spectacular events (Russian Revolution for the Bolsheviks, acts of terror for al-qaeda) to push the masses into rising up.
The whole "propaganda by the deed", which was basically terrorism, is even more associated with anarchism and can provide some fertile ground for basically tarring the whole movement as "terrorist".
I haven't been able to keep up with the Greek thing so I have no position on it, but I think this kind of bourgeois propaganda is going to be common fare in the future.
it may become more common, but i don't think it will wash. there's widespread cynicism about the war on terror so i think any attempts to paint clearly non-islamist actions as in league with al qaeda will be met with derision apart from by the small percentage of daily mail readers who still think saddam had WMD and was responsible for hoardes of swan-eating asylum seekers defiling our fair british maidens whilst disrespecting the monarchy and noncing maddie mcann and claiming benefits.
immigrants do eat swans, I've seen it happen, but so do royals, so its all good.
I guess it depends on the brains of the population receiving the propaganda. There are plenty of people here who think that western civilization is under attack- even one parliamentarian said something to the effect that electing Obama was a blow for civilization.... I think that some people will get riled up about this stuff, and a lot of people still buy this "terrorist" bullshit, even if it's not related to Al-Qaeda. Of course I realize that a lot of this depends again on local attiudes.
To answer your question more seriously Laure, no there hasn't been anything vaguely like that in the British press.
Did you translate that article yourself? I might put it up in the library as part of the Greece unrest archive.

Yeah, there's actually quite a bit of this sort of racist conspiracy-theory stuff over here as well. If you were to do a survey, you'd probably find that in the general population, unfortunately, this stuff is probably at least as wide-spread in western Canada than anything amenable to Libertarian-Communism is.
I hold the left at least partly responsible for this. We need to be continuing to provide a clear and coherent class-based analysis of global dynamics. We need to continue to be explicit in our rejection of nationalism in all of its' forms (which includes lefty "anti-imperialism" and third world fetishism).
I think that one of the weaknesses of the Greek movement at present is in the lack of a decisive class consciousness. This appears to be changing however, with increasing ties of solidarity being forged between workers, students, and migrants. In order to pose a real threat though, this aspect of the struggle really needs to come to the fore.
In the German media there is nothing comparable to that conspiracy stuff from Poland, it is just to blatant nonsense. The mainstream discourse is different yet mostly defaming as well. It follows an intelectual tradition that is specific for German media when they are reporting about social uprising. The analyzed very quickly, that the unrest in Greece is much more than just a protest against a police murder. They got the point and wrote about a "lost generation", the corruption of the Karamanlis and Papandreo family system etc.
Then they started dividing into the legitimate, though somewhat rude youth and –what they call– the "professional rioters". The latter they identified as "autonomous", yet there aren't any autonomous groups in Greece, except for a handful of comrades in their fifties that try to keep the "Autonomia Operaia" ideas. But "Autonome" is what the German media know and fight in their own country, so they use the label instead of "anarchists". They do not like to mention anarchists in Germany now. They really had problems when "Anarchists against the wall" was rewarded a mayor German human rights award a few days ago. No mainstream media dared to present them as an "anarchist group", all of them made a "group" out of them
After having sorted out who was the bad and who was the good in the Greek uprising, they started to write about "the international of brick throwsers", when solidarity demonstrations ended in clashes. Some of them prepared a nice soup with ingredients from Greece, the Heiligendamm G8 protests in 2008, Genua 2001 etc. They qualify the "Autonome" as Hooligans which love the riot but have no political ideas.
I guess this "divide-et-impera" strategy is not an accident. The media know, that what happens in Greece could well be the prequel of even the beginning of a type of revolt that could emerge in other countries of the European Union as well. On the edge of the worst economic crises for more than 50 years, with an estimated 3% to 4% shrinking of the German economy in 2009, the media are really in fear of a social uprising to come. Therefor they bash the Greek "Autonome" but what they really aim for is the situation in their own country.
I don't think readers here in Sweden or any of our neighbour countries are susceptible for articles like that. I mean you would need years of really purposeful brainwash-conspiracy writing to successfully step-by-step change peoples world views enoguh for them to vaguley believe that shit. Even retards would laugh at that. What's the circulation of that paper? I doubt it is high.

"Anarchists Against the Wall" accepted a major 'human rights award' from the German state?

I knew it. I fucking knew it.
