New Anarchist discussion forum- Anarchist Black Cat
Ever wished for an anarchist discussion board dominated by an exchange of argued
out political views rather than insults? So did we
Sounds dull but as long as we do't have to read your particularly pathetic attempts at ''argued out political views'' on here anymore i'm all for it.
I've made my choice.
To be clear on this we are neither asking nor insisting that people make some sort of choice.
Its pretty clear to me that people have preferences for different styles of discussion and also expect boards to fill different needs. Some may find one suits them so much over the other that they only use one but I suspect a lot of people will end up (and indeed probably already are) regularly looking at several boards.

Humourless platformist.
I think it'd be odd to try to compare the two sites. Libcom has a wonderful library and has a more openly defined politics with corresponding involvement across the political spectrum. Anarchistblackcat is more focused discussions (or at least the ones I care for).

The infoshop reaction is pretty amusing (libcom gets a special mention among the rant)One of those special moments when we can all agree?
Sounds amazing, you got a link?
It was the first commented article in the tracker in the right hand column when I checked an hour ago, title started with 'Announcing' but I think it can only be a page or so in anyway as it only went up yesterday

Oh my eye-balls are falling out.
Try to start board wars? Not very serious
Anyway, good luck with the project and would be good to collaborate where we can imo..

Ever wished for an anarchist discussion board dominated by an exchange of argued
out political views rather than insults? So did we, so we decided to do
something about it. --- Inspired by the Organise discussion list of the mid
1990s (the first serious anarchist discussion list) and Anarkismo.net, we have
launched AnarchistBlackCat. We are building a home for serious anarchist
discussion and strong moderation of anything that falls below this according to
a set of detailed, transparent and publicly available rules. --- Got something
to say?
