News just in! smile

Met found guilty under H&S legislation of collective responsibility in the death of Jean Charles de Mendez - no personal responsibility aimed at Cressida Dick tho. sad

Fine to be announced this afternoon - tho that will, I guess, have to be met by the taxpayer. roll eyes

Gotta get ready to go out soon - hopefully someone can add in a longer link?

Love

the fact that shooting someone 7 times in the head at point blank range is treated as a breach of health and safety regs is enough to make kafka's corpse blush

is there a prospect for the family to take out a civil action or the like based on this judgement?
or any chance of an independent investigation?

They'll get about the same as the punishment given to those who stitched up Georgie Kelly, Charles Connolly, Derek Bentley, Timothy Evans, James Hanratty, Judith Ward, The Birmingham Six, McGuire Seven, Bridgewater Four, Stefan Kischo, Guildford Four, Mark Barnsley, and dozens of other miscarriages of 'justice' and deaths in custody. The bastards will walk away.
