Two international activists were detained by Chinese security forces August 13 near the Lionbridge office in Beijing where they were attempting to hang a banner. The banner related to the case of the unfairly dismissed unionist from Poland who is trying to get reinstated.
Another banner was also found in their possession relating to Microsoft's cooperation with the Chinese authorities in repressing activists. The two had planned to hang this near Microsoft's Beijing office. Both banners were confiscated.
After questioning, the two were released without charges.
