Two pickets in front of the Serbian consulate at Hamburg, Germany, today. One in the early morning, one later today. No problems reported so far. The picket was on behalf of the VAB Altona (VAB = General syndicate). Pickets at some more consulates in Germany will take place within the next days.

Apparently a shitload people tried to go on at the same time and something fucked. I was surprised but also very happy to see that a lot of people are interested in the case and the solidarity protests.

I wrote a piece in Polish, somewhat directed towards the mainstream, related to the hypocrisy of the government. This is also inspired by the banning of the Beograd Pride march which was to take place today. Here is a (shortened) English version:

On images of the comrades -

There is a loose international network of people who are working on and discussing the solidarity campaign. One of the many issues discussed was the fact that many people criticized the use of photos made by the police. These photos were initially used because there was no access to other photos from all the comrades, but since then, people from Serbia have sent different photos to be used. From these photos, some new banners have been made. There is no real consensus on what is best, but I will publish the URL here since it seems difficult to inform all people via email.

http://www.cia.bzzz.net/asi_banners

People may not like some of the color schemes or whatever, so they can feel free to experiment. The main thing is that the comrades wanted to use different photos.

Please note, I also put a collage up but it is a joke related to another event. http://asi.zsp.net.pl/serbian-police-attempts-to-close-down-art-exhibition-featuring-works-of-arrested-anarchosyndicalist-and-belgrade-artist/

There is also some new information: the last questioning of witnesses etc. will happen on Monday and Tuesday. They have until the 4th to either press charges or set the comrades free. We will thus know next week what is happening.

Those pictures are much better, the other ones look like police mug shots, which are very good at making people look like criminals.

And robot, is that an FAU Smart car?!

Are the Smartcars those horrible yuppy ones which only seat two? If so, hardly a great ad for the IWA is it? wink

Is it possible to change name of this topic? The number of ASI members in B6 is 4 not 3. There were several problems with the numbers in general, so it would be fine to have at leats right name of the topic.

Those graphics are nice. Hopefully all our artwork will just be for the archives soon, but I have a bad feeling about all this.

Some comrades will be putting together some contextual information, including the general repression of all protests, especially workers protests, in Serbia.

Any word on the solidarity protests today?

Hi

Why wasn't this publicised better? I probably could have forwarded it on and got some more people down...not sure it was even on SF internal list?

Just to clarify some of the numbers:
SWIFT: RZBSRSBG
RAIFFEISEN BANKA AD
Address: Bulevar Zorana Djindjica 64
BEOGRAD, RS

Beneficiary customer:

IBAN RS35265050000016043150

Some groups are collecting money in their countries and sending larger amounts.

Remember, we will be finding out by Monday what the prosecutor intends to do. There are already legal costs, but they may become even higher.
