Erm, well i know lobbying parliment isn't top piority like, but it only costs a few moments effort to support this e-mail campaign.

Quote:
Equal rights for agency workers! Stop the undercutting! Stop the abuse!

There are now over one million agency workers in the UK. Some of them are well treated. Many are not and because UK law has excluded them from essential protections, they face discrimination in the workplace including lower wages and no sick, holiday or overtime pay.

The T&G, Amicus, UCATT, CWU, Unison and the GMB, backed by the TUC, are supporting a private members bill, promoted by Paul Farrelly MP, to introduce UK law on the equal treatment of agency workers. Private Members' Bills have notoriously low success rate but they can become law, especially when the trade union movement joins forces to fight for change. Remember the Gangmasters Licensing Act?
