corpses don't lie... but intimidated bureaucrats do

The word 'tazer' is banned from use in trials these days (it's a "crowd control device" - saying "tazer" gets you contempt of court). Same with the word "shoot" if it comes with the context "the police were shooting"

And, of course, you're not allowed to use the word "rape" in a rape trial.

Seriously the US is fucked up. Do people still think of it as a free society?

13 June, 2008 - 23:28

Yup, most folks still do, and of course everything is going to be all better after November. wall

Sali,

It can be really really strange at times. I work in a small warehouse and occasionaly the boss will call in some temp help. Quite a few of the temps so far will eagerly initiate/participate in shop talk/class chat with me all day, then at the end of the day start into bitching about having jobs "stolen" from them by our brothers and sisters cross the southern border. Kinda frustrating, yet I suppose having ones' work cut out for them isn't a bad thing. smile

The medical examiner is a bureaucrat? Or the judge? Its hard to follow revolutionary analysis these days.

18 June, 2008 - 04:02

well first of all, yes, of course the medical examiner and judge are bureaucrats. they run offices which are connected to eachother by 'excessively complicated administrative procedure' (definition number 3 of bureaucracy in my dictionary here). bureaucracy (this is definition number 1) means 'a system of government where most of the important decisions are made by state officials rather than by elected representatives;' and even though the US is obviously very fucked up we do have a few 'representatives' who dig a little deeper than most. a judge is a state official. a medical examiner is too.
the medical examiner, a bureaucrat scared to lose her position, was intimidated into withdrawing her honest findings by a judge (probably partially in the pay of 'non-lethal' weapons manufacturers, or who at least probably has a stock portfolio including some of those companies) who wanted to hide the lethal potential of those weapons. so what's hard to follow about all that?

You are blaming a worker for what is obviously a decision made by the ruling class. You can't tell the difference between the puppet and the puppeteer. Also, your name has the word 'anarchy' in it, can I borrow your slingshot and skateboard next weekend?

Shush. I'm trying to learn teh anarchy.

20 June, 2008 - 10:17

everyone's to blame for the maintenance of the lies that sustain this system of hierarchy.
the ruling class is as much an abstract myth as the working class.
people are all individuals, capable of making decisions on our own, not just the blind mechanical cogs of a class machine. she could've quit in protest or something, but instead just took the humiliation to keep her stupid job. to call a person a "worker" is to reduce him or her to an abstraction a little too much for my taste. steal your own slingshot i don't have a skateboard

Quick, someone tell Bill Gates!

fuck you guys and your arrogant sarcasm.

22 June, 2008 - 02:13

Arrogant sarcasm is an important defence mechanism in the face of righteous indignation.

Fixed.

This isn't the only case, Tazer is making a habit of going after ME's who cite their product as a cause of death

Quote:
"It is dangerously close to intimidation," says Jeff Jentzen, president of the National Association of Medical Examiners. "At this point, we adamantly reject the fact that people can be sued for medical opinions that they make."

On different note, why don't y'all try explaining to jordon the limitations of free will in class society rather than jumping his shit? We need more and better informed righteous indignation!

23 June, 2008 - 21:40

wow total idiocy! man you must be really elite to look down on me from such a height as that. and your use of "leetspeak" ("teh anarchy") really proves it.
as for the limitations of free will in class society, why don't you go sign up with jesus? i hear he makes it easy to stop taking responsibility for your actions
he'll take the sins off your back (if not the ruling class) and make you feel good about cowing to authority and setting up petty, phony hierarchies around yourselves.
arrogant sarcasm is a cop out.

this is the typical reaction of these corporations though, they always want to put down or hide any conflicting evidence. It's just too bad that the people who've been shut up don't shout all the louder. if as doctors they do not do so their medical opinion loses a lot of weight.

we should all be indignant about corporations' use of judges as their defense mechanism in the face of the honest revelation of the facts.
in the dictatorship of the corpotariat we only have our arrogance to make us look and feel important, since everything's swept away by the flood of information, nearly free of all ideology, and swamping all truth and effective reaction to it with ads and fluff.
