camp for climate action
With the government failing and unable to take action on the greatest issue facing our planet, climate chaos, we have to create a grass roots solution
A huge camp is being organised to bring people together to:
* take action against climate change
* provide information on climate change and its causes
* share and live practical solutions
* network with other people campaigning on all the aspects of climate change
The camp will be in the North of England next summer, and organisation is starting now. If you are concerned about crazy weather and want to start taking action - join us!
Everyone is invited to get involved and come to a public meeting 11am - 6pm 14th January at Bridge 5 Mill, 22a Beswick St, Manchester.
Accommodation is available if you contact us in advance. Please also contact us about any access, dietary or creche needs.
For directions to Bridge 5 Mill see www.bridge-5.org/map.htm
for more information email info@climatecamp.org.uk
or the website (which will be up and running by the end of the week) at www.climatecamp.org.uk
i think you'll find the correct spelling is Klimate Khaos. I mean what sort of activist are you!
is this some sort of EF! thing?
No, although we are encouraging all groups to be involved. To start thinking about what working group you might like to be in before you get to the meeting maybe you could look at this. If you want to ask any questions before the meeting about the specific working group then the email addresses are next to the group titles.
this is just to let you know of the working groups and what you can get involved with so you can start thinking about it before the meeting. They are split into large groups until the sub groups become larger so that those working on similar tasks can work and communicate together more easily. For more info or to get involved earlier than the meeting their emails are listed too.

again its neither really, just a bunch of people wanting to get individual people and groups together to act on climate change, we do hope that groups like earth first and dissent! will be involved.
BTW, Earth First are holding their annual gathering a weel earlier, 16th-20th August, in Wales.
