Christian Right and BNP demo against the gay pride?

I just heard that christian right and BNP have been allowed to stage a demonstration in exchange square on saturday during the gay pride.
Any info on counter measures?

The Christian group is possibly connected to the one who has been organising against the Gay pride event in belfast recently.
I won't put there weblink on here, but if you google for it (under Stop The Parade) you will see how nasty they are. Good company for the BNP....

time is not 100% confirmed as of yet, but since the parade starts at 2pm it is probably around that time.
Please PM me for more info on counter measures if you can be there on the day.
and CORRECTION: the fash is not BNP, but National Front, as one could expect.

The news is spreading amongst anti-fascists, this received from Unite Against Fascism:
OPPOSE THE NATIONAL FRONT DEFEND MANCHESTER PRIDE
URGENT - The National Front have told Manchester Police they will be holding a counter-demonstration in the centre of Manchester as the city's Pride Parade goes past.
The police have not seen fit to ban the NF event. The City Council strongly backs the Pride Parade, and many councillors are keen that the fascists should not be allowed to even heckle the Parade unopposed.
Unite Against Fascism is calling a counter-demonstration. Come and help drown out the Fascists.
Please pass the information on to friends, and come and join us on Saturday - from 12.30 on Exchange Square (behind Marks & Spencer).

"drown out the fascist" sounds much more militant than "shout our old slogans in unison and wave lollipops while redwatch takes pictures of us".
But great thing that UAF is coming as well.
If i was a betting man, i'd quess that NF wont even show up judging from their recent record...

There is some form for the NF doing this - they opposed the Leicester Pride march in 2000, and managed to block the route briefly.
However there have claimed to be holding 5 marches in Kent on the same day....

well, there were 5 of them, with a banner saying national front, and keep section 28. they were pretty pathetic, and they didnt say anything..they were cordened in by police the whole time.
UAF were chanting, nothing really happened.
some witty fellow made the best banner of the day that said something along the lines of 'closeted facist homosexuals looking for cock', but the police took it down because the word 'cock' is very very offensive. of course the national front banner wasnt offensive atall was it.
they left after about 1 or 2 hours and so did everyone else.

in addition to the mentioned, few more highlights:
- one "odins cross" flag was nicked from NF clows and set on fire before coppers could get it back.
- some of the jokes and random abuse was pretty funny, especially that placard 
personal highlight: the weirdest thing which doesn't happen often... there was this lad saying he supports NF and all immigrants should be rounded up and sent away and he was very angry at the counter demo. I went to have a word with him... and after 5-10 minutes he turned around totally! Unbelievable, but just goes to show how the racism stems from legitimate concerns and anger working class kids have, but just gets horribly misdirected.
Anyways, it left me stunned because this doesnt happen often where someone just has that moment of clarity/epiphany and completely turns around...
Pretty good day in all, UAF people were really happy to see extra people come in because the short notice meant they couldn't mobilise that many people.
