i wonder if submission will be rude to the wombles again?
i wonder who will be representing corporatewatch.
I won't be making this, sorry
Just found out I've got to take a 66% pay cut and so am looking for jobs, signing on and sorting housing benefit. Filling in all those forms is like a second job, really
Hope you all have a good time 8)
it wont be the same withour you, laz
come and bring the forms with you. i'm expert at those forms and hey, today i learnt to manually calculate housing benefit entitlement. come on lazlo, i might get bored selling cake.
Coincidentally, filling in forms is one my favourite hobbies.
no, sewing refused, remember sewing?
btw after everyone left i was doing the last flag and i sewed it up itself so now its all stuck together and i can't be arsed to unpick it. if i bring it to the bookfair will you unpick it for me?
Any chance of the bookfair coming to Liverpool some time?
u could just get a venue and advertise it and, like magic, people will come.
i like liverpool. any excuse for a day out.

As others will testify, I'll go anywhere that's serving free food.
i betta have some stuff this time
Cheers for the offers of form filling 8) I'll miss you lot. A colleague of mine will be coming up to fill in for me, however, so be nice to her
Edit: and 'be nice' isn't a euphemism, refused

hey, lets discuss this one - SolFed has organised a bookfair in Bolton twice at the bolton socialist club - they have been small, but in comparison well attended and succesful events!
I'm sure same could be organised in Liverpool, in fact more i think about it, better the idea sounds.
Are you by any chance coming to the Manchester bookfair? If you do, come to the SolFed stall and lets discuss this. I'm sure SolFed would be up for helping out with organising it.
any chance I can have lift there, JDMF? I've got stuff I can't fit on me' bike... please...
wahey anarchos
i'll hopefully be up for this. i hear theres flags and hash cakes up for grabs
is there a meet up planned?

was going to cycle in, but if there are loads of stuff we could do a run first - lets talk later about that. Basically the problem is parking, would cost arm and a leg to park for the whole day somewhere in town...
Kidda - please pop by the SolFed stall mate - no meetup that i know of...
really looking forward to this one 8)
sorry is it stuff that two people could carry?
i dont mind giving you a hand carrying stuff in
JDMF, will do bruv
I don't mind taking my car into town and giving people lifts as long as they don't live to far away that is. Maybe if there was a few of us we could share the carpark cost for the day? Its not too bad at a couple of the carparks at the back of Piccadilly, around 4/5 quid I think if we get there early enough to get a parking space pretty easily. I've got stuff to take in for the NCADC stall (or I will have if I get my shit together!!). Youwant a lift JDMF and Sorry?
that'd be great, I'll be happy to help out with the parking costs.
i'll pm you my phone number Sorry.
Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted here.
I'd just like to thank everyone involved in organising the Anarchists Bookfair today, and say it was really good meeting all the folk off here who I can now put a face to!!
Really enjoyed my first visit to The Basement, and plan to make the journey more often in the future..
it was great to meet you too pushka!
Started a thread about the bookfair & libcom posters here:
yeah it was a good day. thanks to everyone for their hard work btw making flags and cakes and all. i'm well chuffed with the money we raised. also really enjoyed talking to people about refugee/asylum issues at the stall.
and clearly theres a niche market for anarchist flags
I met a guy I haven't seem for twenty years. We were at Manchester Poly at the same time and formed the anarchist group there. I tried to get him to join the DAM back then and yesterday he asked about joining SolFed. So my efforts weren't wasted all that time ago.
Rest of the time I was on the AK & SolFed stall so didn't really get to talk to many people although I did meet Refused and Kidda.
Maybe I should change my username seeing everyone else is introduced as their name on here. Can I be 'Alistair Sim'?
We in Northern Voices would like to thank Dave Pavement et al for doing such a good job putting the bookfair together. THANKS.
