The pensioner poverty leaflet has been checked by an advice worker at Age Concern. There were no factual errors, however some changes will be made to it. Unfortunately, I'm in Bristol and my software (Publisher) doesn't want to work here.
So I need someone to make these final edits, make it into a PDF and send it back to me to send on to print. Ideally, you could put it up online as well for some kind of peer review.
As it will take about a week to print, and need to be picked up by car, we don't have a vast amount of breathing space. I had hoped I would be able to finish it all while I'm in Bristol.
So, who is up for doing the final additions? In all I think the addition of material will take an hour tops for someone who can use publisher. You can send PDFs to me to check if you like.
Aside from the introduction the changes to be made are:
Cover: delete "also includes" sentence
Page 1: a) add in intro from Libcom
Page 4: Alignment: money should line up delete a tab from each of the rows which are not in vertical line (1st on page is State Pension (Sarah) tab tab tab £84.25) There are 4 unaligned numbers on this page
Page 6: Community Care Grants in How to Apply add "or ring 0800 1695198".
Page 7: a) replace "People" (first word) with Over 65s
b) How to apply: "Payment should be made automatically if you are eligible. Ring 0845 915 15 15 if you don't receive payments".
Page 9: a) In Disconnections, break the paragraph into two after "struggling to pay the bills".
b) Add in a new square point where you've split (on a new line) (So 1 para point has become 2 points). Easiest is to copy and past the square.
c) add after "range of benefits" "such as having your meter read for you or larger print bills."
Back Page: a) Add Samaritans: 08457 90 90 90
b) Add Shelter: 0808 800 4444
We also need transport to pick it up, does anyone have any available, or know anyone who could pick the printed pamphlets up from near cambridge?
Sorry I don't have publisher, otherwise I'd volunteer . Incidentally, next time you're doing this sort of stuf (or if you do a replrint at some point) let IA know cos we might be able to help with bulk buying and maybe distribute round Ipswich?
Its edited and sent round internal list. I had a bit of a break but the intro still needs doing anyway. I'll happily edit in the intro later when discussion has happened though I might be out between 9 and 12.

The introduction has yet to be finalised (http://libcom.org/forums/norwich-anarchists/pensioner-poverty-pamphlet-intro), I think that is a slightly difficult bit to do as it is much more subjective than basic advice. Please go on Libcom and suggest changes/additions/subtractions.
