Aha, I was born in Canberra, I think the hospital I was born in has been demolished or something. The best thing about Canberra is that park where emus and kangaroos try and steal your picnic 8) . Though I was only there till I was three. Are you civil servants?

I was also born in Royal Canberra Hospital. It was blown up in July 97 in a big public spectacle. They used too much explosive or something and chunks of steel went flying across the lake at the spectators. One of them tore the top of 11 yo Katie Bender's head off in front of her family.
The subsequent inquiry largely exonerated the govt. Surprise.
I work for the govt but as a bus driver. Dave is at uni.

actually, this is a nom de plume i've been using for a while now. if anyone on these forums is from ye oldee sydney love and rage or s11(in or-stray-lee-a) they may just remember shamass...
the name comes from a zine i put out about ten years ago: 'The Journal of Doctor Shamass.' a story of a nefarious dude that stands by as all of reality winks out of exsitence. 'shamass' is a corruption of the ancient sumerian sun god 'shamash.' also, but perhaps not intentionally it is a pun on Bataille's solar anus. ie. it is the the pseudo-date that shits out a universe in order to be shafted by its self same creation. or somefink like that...

If you mean Tidbinbilla national park then yes. In January 2003. Not sure about the roos and emus but of the 20 koalas they had there 19 died and the other one was severely injured.
If you mean Rehwinkles private zoo somewhere north of Canberra then it closed a fair few years ago.

Hi, I was involved with the NZ group 'Mass Subversion' in the eary nineties. In reality, this was a clone of the English 'Subversion" group. Before that, during my stay in England, I was a member of the Anarchist Communist Federation. I was also a member of the Movement for Workers' Councils. I put on-line the text 'Fundamental Principles of Communist Production and Distribution'. That's about it really.
