Hi all,
I signed up about two years ago and don't think I've been back since....
I'm currently working on the anarchism.org.nz site which is a bit on a lonely existance check out anarchism.org.nz/forums which is pretty much where it's at, at the moment.
I'm guessing this site is using drupal as it's cms? If so it's gotta be the first I've seen to make drupal look really good

yep drupal. though i can't take any of the credit for it looking good 
the forums are still missing some of the standard functionality of phpbb though (working jump-to-last-post being the obvious one).

yeah that's another one on the list - drupal's pretty new to all of us and for the moment at least only a couple of us know any php (not me), so we're pretty much making it up as we go along

Is there a list of stuff somewhere that you are working on? I know there's a few people here that have some drupal, mysql/php skills that might be able to give you some pointers

no, she's some kind of labour party supporter or something.... i don't know lefty liberal or something. she acknowledges the centrality of the class struggle tho, which is better than alot of "anarchists". i shall introduce her to the joys of anarcho-syndicalism when we stop moving around...

Hey guys I've started posting again. I used to post more then a year ago, but have found myself back to this site after hearing about the Anti-Deustche Antifa.
Im currently a Uni student studying in Queensland.
I used to identify with communism/anarchism/socialism but now just identify myself as a pro-Australian Greens progressive liberal. I have a particular distaste for extremism, and follow the saying 'there is no left or right when you are an extremist'. My politics are more shaped around finding justice for all people, in every situation. I have particular interest in the search for peace in Israel/Palestine after reading some of Norman Finkelstein books and Antony Loewenstein's blog.
I dont support the organisation Fight Dem Back but do not condemn them, I feel as though the organisation is more about publicity for its original members then it is for actually concentrating on fighting racism. I'll leave it at that, because any organisation that fights racism cannot be condemned.
I hope by posting here I can continue discussions on progressive liberal politics.

There haven't been that many Aussies posting on here lately but hopefully there's still a bunch reading who will reply to you soon (I'm from the other side of the Tasman).
Whereabouts are you in Australia? There are anarchists in most centres, although the most are in Melbourne and Sydney (probably unsurprisingly!) There are a couple of anarchist-communist groups if you lean that way - the Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group and the Sydney Anarchist Communist Tendency who would be worth getting in touch with if you are in either of those cities.

Thanks for the welcome... I live in rural NSW but travel a fair bit to Adelaide due to the family situation so interested in anything either here or in SA.
And also thanks for some of the advice, the Anarchist-Communism group sounds intriguing, I must do some more reading into this as I am still feel I am very new to this but I am glad to finally meet some like minded people/sites, the only thing people seem to care about out here is the rain or their livestock...
