Omar - Nationalist? Labour Party member? Union bureaucrat? Anarchist?

Submitted by Asher on 15 April, 2007 - 02:02.

This is an expose on the real Omar. You may have seen him posting here in the Oceania forum, claiming to be a kind of platformist anarchist, attempting to defend his nationalism from an "anarchist" viewpoint, kissing the arse of the higher ups in his union bureaucracy and so on.

But is Omar really an anarchist?

To answer this, we only have to look at how he spent this weekend. He travelled half the length of the country, not for any anarchistic reason, not for a holiday, but to attend the Labour Party youth conference. Not only that, but he is a member of the party and was in fact registered as a candidate for the Labour Party youth presidential elections!

He attempted to defend this last night as "deep entryism", but I don't buy into that for a second. Like his Auckland Labour Party friends, I believe he has "seen the light" and finally admitted what his true beliefs are.

Omar, you can no longer pretend to be an anarchist. Enjoy your time in the Labour Party, and I wouldn't be surprised to see you presiding over the latest neoliberal legislation as an MP in 10 years time.

p.s: Omar was sitting next to me while I wrote this. And while the facts in the above most are all pretty much true, I removed all the context to make him look as bad as possible. I love him, really, even if his politics are shit wink

so? atleast the zionists actually control the world!

The only thing worse than nationalism is a self pitying shite nationalism. If your nation can't cut it in the modern world it deserves to go under, tough poo poo!

When I lack coffee, I seem to go slightly insane. Oh well.

Watch out Omar you might become the victim of nastiness when Labour decides to have a big purge of all their members who are "too radical".

New Labour/The Alliance did it in the early 90s.

Their anarchist youth wing might become too embarassing for them in the near future.
