The recent G20 protests in Melbourne saw a new and exciting level of autonomous actions and disobedience. These actions opened up a space for
continuing political discussion.
We want the discussion to move beyond simple condemnation or defense of
particular tactics. We hope to have an informed discussion on which aspects
of the protest were successful, which weren't, and what we can learn.
We want to talk practically about what happened, but we understand that many
people involved are sensibly cautious about protecting themselves. So we
encourage people who were involved to send reflections on their experience
anonymously to http://arushandapush.blogspot.com, by emailing afterg20@gmail.com. Selections from these will be read at the meeting.
