Any Internal Ryanair numbers? (Global day of action, 2009-05-03)
The IWA calls for an global day of action against Ryanair for sunday may 3, 2009. There will be some action in Germany in this context. As we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to show their disgust with Ryanairs union busting policy, we need internal telefon or telefax numbers or e-mail-accounts others than the official hotlines). Anybody working in Ryanair (except Spain and Germany) that could provide us with numbers? We are especially interested in those from the Ryanair corporate HQ in Ireland. Please use PM.
we will perhaps try to use some of the contacts listed on this website

Thanks, this was helpful. There is an article on the FAU website (http://www.fau.org/artikel/art_090429-063422) and a German language flyer (http://www.fau.org/grafik/ryanair.pdf). Unfortunately there was only very little time between the call for action and the day of action. But I guess there will nevertheless be several locations where Ryanair will not be very happy today. Hopefully there will be a second day of action with more preparation. Ryanair is just a perfect target for a coordinated action with their airports in most European countries. The more as they are union-busters and take the piss out of their customers at the same time.

There are two possible fax numbers that are seemingly available:+353 1 812 1213
+353 1 812 1230Unfortunately, I have been trying to fax them for the last two days on both numbers - 5 times on one day, 8 times today on both numbers. Up to now, the fax does not go through, but comes back with a 'no answer'. Nothing wrong with the fax machine at my end."
FAU has these numbers on the website. Are they working?

Frankfurt (Germany)
As the so called "Frankfurt" airport of Ryanair is some 140 km north-west of Frankfurt in the middle of nothing, members of the general membership branch and the IT section of the FAU-IWA Frankfurt local federation developed another plan. The leafleted Ryanair customers that took the shuttle busses from the city to the airport for several hours. Reaction where very positive including a bus-driver whos comment was “Don't tell me about the working conditions at Ryanair, I know they are nothing but shit!"
Weeze (Germany)
Members of the general membership branch of the FAU-IWA Düsseldorf local leafleted Ryanair customers at their so-called "Düsseldorf" airport. In fact the air-port is at Weeze, a small town 70 km north-west of Düsseldorf. Reactions where partly overwhelmingly positive with people announcing they will never again book a flight with Ryanair. A dutch trade-unionist told us he would be glad if his union would walk out for such a solidarity action only once in his lifetime. There was also a very interesting talk with airport employees about the working conditions there (lots of temp work and precarious conditions).
A lot of customers have no choice but to fly with Ryanair, they really are a piece of shit company.
This documentary shows how they put their staff and customers lives at risk with their race to the bottom bullshit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkKPirksymQ&e
Lübeck (Germany)
Members of the general membership branches of the FAU-IWA Hamburg, Kiel and Wismar locals leafleted Ryanair customers at their so-called "Hamburg" airport. This airport is at Lübeck, some 75 km north-east of Hamburg. The comrades showed uped with leaflets about the struggle at Ryanair Zaragoza and general union propaganda. As in the other places reactions were very positive as well those of the customers as of people working at the airport. We found out that we have to improve one thing the next time we will show up – there were a lot of non-native customers, so next time we will translate our leaflet into English and Spanish as well.

Sorry, if I had seen sooner I could have sent you contact. Out of my office though.
