According to that highly reputable source searchlight
the BNP is in the process of forming a trade union:
Searchlight can exclusively reveal that the British National Party has launched a trade union. "Solidarity – The Union for British Workers" was registered with the trade unions Certification Office shortly before Christmas. Solidarity claims that it will be a normal trade union defending the interests of any British worker, but in reality it will be simply a scab union and a front for the BNP.

Has anyone heard anything about this from anywhere else? Any thoughts? Do people feel this is a threat or something we should organise against, or will it just be a flop?
I come from a town where the BNP was quite strong - they did a really good impression of the SWP with stalls every Saturday on the high st - in the midlands. They always seemed a genuine threat.

There was a cut and paste from the BNP website on here, which rather proudly stated that 4/5 of them had been expelled from unions, funny how Searchlight wrote it to look as if they had uncovered the info.
Who is likely to join this union, seems like a really good way to get fired.
