Book on 30 years of FAU-IWA

An editorial collective within the FAU-IWA has published a book on the first 30 years (Covering 1977-2007). The title is "FAU. Die ersten 30 Jahre". For those reading German or interested in general, the book has 256 pages, including more than 300 photos and documents. The content is made of six chronologial chapters covering the history of the FAU-IWA from the early beginning until 2007. In addition there are lot of shorter texts about special subjects, such as the vitae of a couple members who had already been members to the FAUD in the 20th or 30th, special campaigns and strikes etc. The book has been jointly published by three publishing houses linked to the FAU (Syndikat-A, Verlag edition AV, FAU-MAT). It costs EUR 14,50 and is on sale at Syndikat-A (Syndikat-A uses a cash before delivery system, so don't worry about not understanding the delivery conditions, you will be contacted in English in any case for the postage etc.) The ISBN for the book is 978-3-86841-004-4.

Congrats to the FAU on putting out this wonderful history. The book is professional, clean and with lots of photos.
Having shared some of the events that are covered in the book, it was also a fond reminder of the rebirth of anarcho-syndicalism in the 1970s, the struggles of the FAU, the IWA and overall movement. The historical section is valuable, as are the interviews with a couple of old time veterans.
Even if you don't read german, I suggest buying the book to support the FAU's publishing effort and for the photos.
Three cheers to the FAU for getting out such a fine book.
