I really like this campaign, as it recognizes the humanity and agency of the potential military recruits, highlights the illegal and immoral nature of Canada's military adventures in Haiti and Afghanistan, and is ideally suited for on-campus application, a place I am now. A good resource website for Canadian counter-recruiters is opertionobjection.org. We have a die-in and picket in the works for our CSIS and DND( Deparment of National Defence) staff who will be recruiting young talent from our student ranks.
If anyone has worked on similar projects in Canada, I'd love to see your outreach materials and hear your experience. Our fledgeling coalition of UVIC Anarchists and Communists would love to hear from you.

Ugh, someone in one of the groups distro'd a pamphlet at the event saying that "revolutions" hurt children, and should not be undertaken. Ugh. The rights of the child to a violence-free envirto..Ugh. I guess someone forgot to tell revolutionaries around the world about the free montesories they should be putting their kids into, where the kids can experience a life free from hunger, ;ack of educational opportunities, and peonage at the bottom of the class hierarchy.
Otherwise, great event.
