Defend CeCe McDonald! Self-Defense is Not a Crime! Stand up Against Racism and Transphobia!
I have seen our statement get passed around the internet/facebook/blogs and tumblrs (which I confess I do not know what that is). Unfortunately I fear that our movement is often "a mile wide and an inch deep".
Do comrades have organizations they work with that they would be willing to take this appeal to, and ask for official statements/letters of support. It may not make a huge difference, but sometimes politicians are pressureable from below. Statements from GLBT organizations, Black Community organizations, Unions, and Occupy assemblies would be particularly useful.
