Support Mothers & Fathers on Hunger Strike at Yarl's Wood Detention Centre

PROTEST OUTSIDE SERCO OFFICES THIS FRIDAY 19TH JUNE, 12-2PM, 22 HAND COURT, HOLBORN, WC1V 6JF.

A number of detainees have started a hunger strike at Yarl's Wood detention centre in protest against inadequate medical care, the detention of children and general abuse.

Solomom, a detainee who put out a statement calling for support for the hunger strike has since been attacked by the SERCO guards. He is due to be removed any time.

SERCO is the company that runs the centre and makes profits out of detaining migrants.

In support of the strikers, an emergency protest has been called this Friday, from 12pm-1pm outside SERCO offices, at 22 Hand Court, Holborn, WC1V 6JF.
Bring noise, placards and banners.

People can also ring the Main switchboard: 01234 821000 at Yarl's Wood and ask what has happened to Solomom and his wife (I don't know her name unfortunately). Their room number was C145.
