I have an audacious idea that may just work (UK)

If you, like me, believe that you are existing alongside or in an orwellian system that is destined to not only get worse but has the potential to more or less end humanity through one or more of; war, climate change, GM, Energy system collapse, drug hardenned viruses, I would really like to hear from you.

I have an audacious idea that may just work.

Best wishes

Hi MoR,

To proceed you will need a basic grasp of English common law. I have provided 3 links below. The first 2 are about 10mins each, to give you a taster, and despite it being on law I think you'll love them. The last one is about 45mins long. That is a better foundation. They all contain different information. Start with the first link and if you are sufficiently aroused of curiostiy by that then proceed to the next. I hope that's not too much of an ask. Let me know how you get on, and we can go from there smile

2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ9Pyzs_3Uo

3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJT2huSK38c

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. If you have not come across this stuff before your brain is going to ignite smile

I'll try to lay my cards on the table once we have a this common understanding of common law. smile

Ah yes. The little known statute in English common law which allows one to abolish capitalism and the state...

Here is a wsm link.

No actually this Freeman nonsense has had a bit of sway on the fringes of the left in Ireland. So, the WSM wrote a analysis and critique of the Freeman movement.

I have a mate back in the UK who went on about this stuff a lot. He used to get involved politically with some of the stuff that anarchists and marxists were involved in but he was also active with the conspiracy theorist types as well. He never convinced me it was anything but a waste of time getting into it all.

I also have an audacious idea.

Kill the pope to end the world conspiracy. He's a Reptilian that sends his brain waves to receivers installed in our brains upon birth to control our thoughts and actions.

Kill the host and you kill the disease.

Freedom!

Hmm, as soon as I saw freeman I wondered if it was that bollocks.
Anyone who expects you to watch an hour of youtube videos before telling you why is a bit ridiculous.

That freeman stuff would be funny, had it not actually fucked up real peoples lives when they tried to use it. My housemate loathes it, he told me about some poor woman who got done for contempt of court and sent down for 9 months when she tried to use it.

Asked him about it, heres the link to the court transcript: http://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/Fam/2011/B15.html

So, yeah, to the OP - what you have is an audacious idea that has been empirically proven to not work at all and to in fact make things worse. It has also failed to work for Bristol Occupy recently, i believe.

actually this Freeman 'nonsense' works. There are plenty of videos you can find if you search for 'freeman common law' showing people dealing with the Police very deftly through this principle.

Very perceptive since I haven't actually said what the idea is. Are you telepathic?

Anyway,

You dont have to submit to 'Freeman' law if you dont want to, it is frought with danger in my opinion. Better than getting into a tangle with the Police you dont answer anything that they ask and you dont volunteer any information whatsoever! YOU DONT HAVE TO. Furthermore if they try to 'collar' you, you are quite within your rights and ethical behaviour to prevent them from doing it. They are not the law, they are simply corporate thugs.

I shall be paying a visit to a supermarket in the near future, and I shall take a basket of food for the homeless. Simple principle of ethics, the 'haves' want it all, and they are happy to let people starve, and worse, far worse.

I shall wearing a t-shirt saying exactly what I am doing. I shall also have a small group of similar minded folks to prevent me from being assaulted, by simply getting in the way, and with whom we shall pass the basket around.

That's partly why I wondered whether there are genuine revolutionaries here or just dreamers.

To the jerks here, and you know who you are, go waste someone else's time, you are just filling the thread up with your arrogance and stupidity. Do the real anarchists a favour and go dream somewhere else.

Uncreative has referenced an example where it doesn't work. You have yet to repudiate that example. Don't you find that problematic? The only jerky thing I have seen in this thread is a video where a chubby guy references natural law/lore. Weak as fuck. Does not stand up to brute power. Also, the guy in the video owns his own land, he gives the pig permission to go on his land. fair enough. But most of us do not own land. I don't know anyone who owns their own land. Let alone has a fucking 10 foot gate to stop the police getting in. This is 'individualism' in the loosest sense and barely has any resonance with anarcho-communism.

I will give you a clue, libcom is short for libertarian communism wink

What I dream about is a revolution where a guy is trying to stop people getting over his 10 foot fence in order to violate his 'natural' 'god given' right to land, yet not being able to stop them!

Yeah, I used to think that when I was 15, but I learned the hard way that they don't see it that way. If the cops are lawless, and they have guns and numbers and radios, then why the hell wouldn't they arrest you after you tell them they can't?

Ah, the real anarchist hammer.

I think it says more about the one saying it than it does those talked about.

Where do I fill out the form to be accepted into the inner circle of real anarchists? Who decides who's in? The Party?

There are those who do and those who do not. Those who do not may mock those who do out of some vain sense of superiority, but watch with eyes wide shut as the world changes inspite of them.

Whatever you think of me, and despite the tyranny we submit to every day, remember;
this is your planet too.

You will find little democracy in words or pieces of paper. You will find little justice in complaint.

Remember that you have one life with which to make the difference.
You must decide for yourselves whether you do or whether you do not.

I'm sorry, but I have run out of time to discuss any further or reveal what I really wanted to say. It seems that too few here have any grasp of how serious matters are now, and I really have no time left to persuade otherwise, though I will say that I hope that I am wrong for all of our sakes.

I'll leave you all to your own and wish the very best of luck to you all.

LOL! I think it is you sir who do not quit grasp how serious things have got. If you did you wouldn't be playing around with this dodgy pseudo-feudal 'natural law' nonsense. Honestly when/if shit hits the fan, do you think you can just say to the state 'I have god given rights' and it will all go away?

It seems like there's a contradiction at the heart of this--the State doesn't represent law, they're just hired goons. Yet if I tell them about my natural rights, they will stand down and respect them. (?)

Oh no, I will miss you and all your naive, deluded fantasies about how you can avoid being arrested by appealing to the police's inner moral compass through quoting meaningless useless 'law', you, in the inner circle of "real anarchists" that grasp the really serious matters that we obviously are way too stupid to understand before we watch an hours worth of youtube clips.

Fucking hell.

why not have a political praxis they essentially boils down to going, "Y U NO READ MAGNA CARTA?" as you're put in the back of a police car.
