Libcom T-Shirts and Merchandising

Submitted by cantdocartwheels on 11 August, 2007 - 08:24.

Know these have been in the works for some time. After a few dscussions decided to get the ball rolling and post up a thread about it. From what i gather you guys want to use to prole info graphics. Or at least a simple black and white style. Do you have any specific designs in mind, liek i had an idea or two but i want to see what was in the works beforehand. So who has any good designs.

I'm willing to put in a bit of the neccesary capital for it. Not sure of arough idea of the costs though so does anyone know of of any cheap t-shirt printers worth using? Also what would be a good time frame for this, would it be t all possible to get these done before freshers fairs start, or is that entirely unrealistic?

ps don't be a nob and post up loads of joke designs, start a thread about that in libcommunity if you really want to or something

Hah, I'd wear that Joseph K, it's brilliant.

11 August, 2007 - 12:28

i favour plain t shirts with the red n black star libcom.org logo - currently visible in the top left of your screen - on its own.

Brand identity comrades.

11 August, 2007 - 15:18

That's awesome Joseph. I'd wear that. Though prole-info graphics are good as well.

I was just thinking something like this

maybe with some sort of city scape background with like
'if i can't dance its not my revolution' on it

though its shit, it will definitely sell if the design was done in a fairly stylised fashon (ie not by some me), and its not bad for PR purposes, plus it sticks to the whole prole-info graphic style,

Yeah we have spoken about it. what i'd like to do is simple b+w image, possibly on coloured tee with prole.info graphics. the same kinda look as some flyers we did for the bookfair, if anyone saw them

11 August, 2007 - 16:56

I go with Tacks

the slouching girl on the train is pretty cool, especially with the 'a rupture with the mundane' slogan.

11 August, 2007 - 17:39

i go with tacks.

11 August, 2007 - 17:51

Tshirts with libcom.org on them would suck. Just tshirts with a graphic would be fine.

11 August, 2007 - 17:54

I'd also go with Tacks - I love a plain crisp clean design on a shirt - straigfht and to the point, none of this artsy fartsy nonsense wink

11 August, 2007 - 18:21

I would definately wear that one with good old Nestor on it if it came in 'Double Fat Bastard Alehouse' size.

i think it would be worth having libcom.org in small somewhere on the shirt no, even if its just ne back, would seems like a wasted opportunity fi it wasn't there somewhere

11 August, 2007 - 18:29

ok no .org then, just 'libcom'.

small graphic over left tit, nice colours, end of.

I'm happy to be convinced by ppl's designs, but as a starting point, thats what i'd go for.

no, they wouldn't, if you used the logo.

yup

I liked the penguin and the 50 cent designs.

11 August, 2007 - 18:49

i think the plain tee with the star on it sounds good, need to have libcom on it too. also like the anarchy in the ukraine idea.

11 August, 2007 - 19:39

Hahaha!

11 August, 2007 - 19:40

We also need a "LibCom? BASTARDS!!!" CW spoof shirt. No-one will get it but it'll be brilliant. And none of this "one size fits all" bollocks. I'm a small. angry

11 August, 2007 - 20:39

i'm a child size 11 to 12 preferably.

Thats a normal Small in all shops except primark, apparently which caters to fat people first.

11 August, 2007 - 20:55

Shockingly wink agree with Tacks on all.

Small shirts as well as big, girls as well as lads. Red n black star with libcom.org on left tit.

Or cool prole-info graphic on the front with red n black star and libcom.org on the back.

Or a punk givin you the finger screaming "Chaaaaooooosssssss!!!"

Eitherway is fine.... smile

P.S. Hows tricks Tacks? Back in UK now so gimme a bell if and when youre in London.

nah that'd be lame. It should be a neat central graphic, then red n black star libcom.org in a corner somewhere.

11 August, 2007 - 21:10

no, you're lame.

John this is the most assent i have ever received in my life, stop fucking it up angry
