There is going to be a national protest on Tuesday following the sacking of 100s of workers who took wildcat action.

The reference to Posted Workers Directive gives it an EU angle. This directive is all about conditions of employment for 'foreign' workers within EU.

This explains the political dimension of this whereby the unions were predicting that UK Government not implementing the 1999 Posting of Workers Directive fully means that contractors can more easily bring in workers from other EU member states on substandard pay and conditions.

Does anyone know of solidarity action going in London or the surrounding area?
