I'm applying for a job with "Wirral Older Peoples' Parliament", but I can't seem to find any real information on what it is, other than that it's "an exciting new initiative working with Wirral Council to ensure that older people within Wirral are given greater opportunity to become involved in local decision making" (I feel unclean just quoting that) and they exist in other parts of the country. What the fuck are they? And what do they actually do?

Could it be the same as the Pensioners' Parliament?
