Organising in Oxford

Submitted by FranzBilal on September 15, 2016

Hi all,

I recently moved to Oxford and have tried to get in touch with a couple of groups (Thames Valley SolFed and Anarchists in Oxford (and my union the NUT)) but no-one's got back to me.

Does anyone have any idea how get involved around here?

Don't think either of them are very active. There was the Oxford Autonomous Forum a few years ago but they've recently killed off their mailing list so I think that's done.
The IWCA was active in Blackbird Leys.
OAF had meetings at the East Oxford Community Centre and the people running it were pretty open to anarchism (at least the one I met who got involved...)

Try the community centre see if there are any flyers or similar.

Cheers, jef. I've also managed to get in touch with Thames Valley Solfed now. I'll have a look in EOCC. I had a look in the West OCC, which is nearer to home, but there wasn't much going. I really didn't fancy having to go to a Momentum meeting to meet people... ...
