Posting history

for GT...

you can actually post yourself - we got rid of the distinction between history and library as well.

if you click create content > history, then if you can paste in a formatted text version that'd be great. the PDF version you can add as an attachment - if you can't do that email it to us and we'll add it.

Thanks very much, look forward to reading it!
any Qs ask here

ah ok, i thought i could but then for some reason when i was trying all that came up under "create content" was the guidelines, but it worked today.
unfortunately i formatted and editted the spelling mistakes etc. of the article in word, and if i try and cut and paste it fucks with the paragraphing and footnotes (there are alot). turning it into an html doc with word makes it even worse, as it puts a bunch of shitty microsoft html instead of just some nice basic paragraph and link tags. does anyone know of a program that will convert a .doc to html in neater, less shitty manner? because then i can cut and paste the code and it will work better than me going through and formatting it all again manually. or otherwise from an rtf or something?
i could just post the pdf i suppose, what do you reckon? either way, this will probably have to wait until late next week at the earliest now, since we're leaving sunday night and have to do packing etc.

GT. You don't need to do paragraph tags, drupal does them for you. Best thing is to copy into notepad and then add the links back in I'm afraid.

With the line breaks, fwoformatter (via google) is your friend - increase line length to 99999.

ok, i'll see how i go, putting in links is a pain though there are 155 footnotes in this thing! it will definitely have to wait for thursday or after.

GT - you don't need to do footnotes manually.

Just inline in the text put <fn>footnote goes here</fn> tags around the footnote, and drupal does the superscript, link, and list at the end for you.

wow ok. but i still have to do that for each footnote, which will take a little while.
