A totally different kind of question. I'm reading this book on the Autonomia in Italy, one of the driving forces of which was feminist autonomous movements. There was conflict between them and workerist movements because the feminists believed women needed liberation as women, not just as workers.
The next Radical Indepedent Bookair will be taking place in Glasgow on Saturday August 23rd. So, in the next little while I want to do two wide-angle feature pieces on areas of the UK which due to Freedom's position in London sometimes get overlooked - Scotland and Wales. We're publishing the second part of our look at Russia in the coming issue and it seems a bit weird that we've never done the same for areas of the UK.
Four BNP newspaper sellers showed up Buchanan Street Glasgow this afternoon (Saturday 5th April 2008). They were quickly surrounded and blockaded into ineffectuality by combined action of anarchists, SWP-ers, CPB-ers, and other comrades. They left once their newspapers had been ripped up.
